In this paper focus is laid on a very personal piece by Ryszard Mieczysław Klisowski - a composer from Wrocław - entitled Łuck-Holocaust for organ and percussion (1989). The work has extra-musical content, which has been revealedin an unpublished article written by the composer entitled Expression aesthetics in 'Łuck-Holocaust' and aesthetic values. The above-mentioned article is one of the sources of information about the composition. In her research the author of this paper aims to show external circumstances that influenced the creation of the composition, explain the title and dedication, as well as analyse the structure and form of the composition and its symbolic and expressive layers. The ultimate goal of the analysis is to interpret the work by reading and pointing out the meanings contained in the composition.
