Aggressive and nonaggressive rejected students: An analysis of their differences

The present study aimed to analyze differences between aggressive and nonaggressive rejected students in four sets of variables: personal, family, school, and social. Participants in the study were 843 Spanish adolescents ranging in age from 11 to 16 years old, of whom 47% were boys. Results indicated that these two subgroups of rejected students show a different profile. Aggressive rejected students informed of lower levels of family self-esteem, less parental support, higher levels of aggression between their parents at home, and a more offensive parent–child communication in comparison with nonaggressive rejected adolescents. Šī pētījuma mērķis bija noskaidrot, kādām emocionālā intelekta spējām, kompetencēm pastāv sakarība ar akadēmiskajiem sasniegumiem, kā arī apskatīt šo saistību dzimumatšķirības kontekstā. Pētījuma ietvaros tika aptaujāti 50 respondenti – 25 meitenes un 25 puiši, vecumā no 17 līdz 19 gadiem 11. un 12 klases skolēni. Emocionālā intelekta spējas tika mērītas ar R. Bar-On Emocionālā intelekta aptauju (The Bar- On, Emotional Quotient Inventory, EQ – i, Bar-On, 1999), kas sastāv no 133 apgalvojumiem, ko novērtē Likerta skalā. Bakalaura darba mērķis ir noskaidrot, vai pastāv saistība starp mātes un tēva audzināšanas stilu un bērna mācību motivāciju un mācību sasniegumiem. Pamatojoties uz analizētajiem pētījumiem, bakalaura darbā tiek pārbaudīts, vai pastāv saistība starp autoritatīvo, autoritāro un visatļaujošo audzināšanas stilu un bērna mācību sasniegumiem, mācību motivāciju. Bakalaura darba ietvaros tika aptaujāti 73 skolēni vecumā no 13 – 16 gadiem. Empīriskajā daļā tika izmantotas Vecāku autoritātes aptauja, Iekšējās motivācijas aptauja. Codonoprasum and shows close relationships with the taxa of the A. stamineum Boiss group. Besides, its karyology, ecology and distribution are examined.

Este trabajo tiene como objetivo fundamental analizar la ansiedad y el rendimiento académico, sus tipos y niveles en función de edad, género, cultura y estrato socioeconómico, así como contemplar las relaciones entre ambas. Se contó con 811 participantes. El 71.6% de la muestra eran musulmanes, mientras que el 28.4% eran cristianos; el 46.1% hombres y el 53.9% mujeres. Como instrumentos de evaluación se empleó el STAIC (Spielberger, 2001) y las calificaciones del alumnado. Se reflejan niveles medio-bajos en ansiedad y medios en rendimiento académico. School engagement is a construct of relevance in education and educational psychology, as it has been related to multiple educational constructs and outcomes: school drop-out, satisfaction with school, disruptive behavior, motivational climate, teacher-student relationships, or academic progress and achievement. The current research surveyed 2034 Angolan students and 2302 Dominican Republic students in order to predict academic achievement. Análisis de dos clavos y un rodamiento del pecio Bou Ferrer (La Vila-Joiosa, Alicante)

El pecio Bou Ferrer contiene los restos sumergidos de una nave de comercio romana altoimperial que conserva una parte importante de su arquitectura naval. Analizamos tres objetos de metal procedentes del yacimiento, dos clavos y un hipotético rodamiento de la bomba de achique, para conocer la composición elemental. El resultado ha revelado que los clavos son de cobre y el cojinete de una aleación ternaria de bronce que contiene cobre, estaño y plomo. Este hallazgo abre la posibilidad de investigar el uso especializado del bronce plomado para mejorar el rendimiento mecánico de las bombas de achique en los barcos romanos. Based on a cognitive motivational process model of learning, the impact of studying behavior on learning outcome is investigated. First-year students ( N = 488) participated in the study. Two research questions were addressed: (1) Can cognitive-motivational variables and objective study behavior predict individual learning? (2) Which factors drive studying behavior?
