Conocer la relación entre el nivel de independencia de un grupo de ancianos crónicos-pluripatológicos y paliativos (ACP-P) y la sobrecarga de sus cuidadores, tras un programa de entrenamiento multicomponente adaptado al ámbito domiciliario. Diseño mixto, cuantitativo y cuasiexperimental, con medidas repetidas en el factor Entrenamiento, y dos factores de agrupación: edad (70-79 y ≥80 años) y nivel de deambulación del ACP-P (anda/no anda). Diplomdarbā tiek vērtēta kritiskās domāšanas tehnoloģiju paņēmienu un metožu pielietošana, mācot lasīšanu krievu valodas kā svešvalodas stundās. Darbā tiek pamatota lasīšanas apmācības nozīme svešvalodas apgūšanas procesā, kā arī tiek pētītas mūsdienīgas lasīšanas stratēģijas un tiek noteiktas to pielitošanas īpatnības. Diplomdarba praktiskajā daļā tiek piedāvātas stundu metodiskas izstrādnes, izmantojot kritiskās domāšanas tehnoloģiju paņēmienus un metodes un kombinējot tos noteiktajās lasīšanas stratēģijās. In this paper, we propose a contention mechanism based on the execution of multiple contention rounds in the frequency domain (ReCHo), which is designed to offer high throughput performance and robustness with respect to imperfect carrier sensing. The main idea is using narrow tones as signalling messages for performing channel access contentions and allowing the Access Point (AP) to echo these signals, in order to extend the sensing capabilities to all the stations associated to the AP. Przedmiotem badań przedstawionych w artykule są długookresowe zmiany modelu konsumpcji na Śląsku, czyli w trzech województwach przygranicznych – śląskim, opolskim i dolnośląskim, a także identyfi kacja ważniejszych czynników warunkujących zróżnicowanie realizowanych przez gospodarstwa domowe modeli konsumpcji. W oparciu o dane z panelowych badań GUS budżetów gospodarstw domowych w latach 2004–2015 przeprowadzono ekonometryczną analizę wpływu na poziom i strukturę wydatków gospodarstw domowych oraz takich ich cech, jak poziom oraz główne źródło dochodów, miejsce zamieszkania, wiek czy wykształcenie osoby odniesienia (głowy domu). Viroporins, Examples of the Two-Stage Membrane Protein Folding Model

Viroporins are small, α-helical, hydrophobic virus encoded proteins, engineered to form homo-oligomeric hydrophilic pores in the host membrane. Viroporins participate in multiple steps of the viral life cycle, from entry to budding. As any other membrane protein, viroporins have to find the way to bury their hydrophobic regions into the lipid bilayer. Once within the membrane, the hydrophobic helices of viroporins interact with each other to form higher ordered structures required to correctly perform their porating activities. Mutation Analysis of LMX1B Gene in Nail-Patella Syndrome Patients

SummaryNail-patella syndrome (NPS), a pleiotropic disorder exhibiting autosomal dominant inheritance, has been studied for >100 years. Recent evidence shows that NPS is the result of mutations in the LIM-homeodomain gene LMX1B. To determine whether specific LMX1B mutations are associated with different aspects of the NPS phenotype, we screened a cohort of 41 NPS families for LMX1B mutations. A total of 25 mutations were identified in 37 families. The nature of the mutations supports the hypothesis that NPS is the result of haploinsufficiency for LMX1B. There was no evidence of correlation between aspects of the NPS phenotype and specific mutations.
