Lexico-semantic change: salpuscar ‘to splash’ and variants, a small enigma
2018
This article shows what must have been the origin of the Catalan verb salpuscar and its variant salbuscar, synonym of the current verb esquitar o esquitxar (‘to splash’). It highlights the possibilities of…

MOTOR COORDINATION DIFFICULTIES IN CHILDREN WITH LEARNING DISABILITIES
2016
Nowadays increasing the number of children with learning disabilities in comprehensive schools of Latvia, so it is necessary preventive measures during schooltime. One of the support measures are short movement activity in academic lessons. The aim of article is theoretical analyze the correlations between motor coordination difficulties and the child's academic achievement and find out primary school teachers' views on possible support for children with learning disabilities. Main findings – development of motor coordination in children of primary schools is effective when using short movement breaks in classroom. Research methods: analysis of scientific and methodological literature, a su…
Supporting the Sustainable Energy Transition in the Canary Islands: Simulation and Optimization of Multiple Energy System Layouts and Economic Scenar…
2021
The Canary Islands have great potential for the implementation of sustainable energy systems due to its availability of natural resources. The archipelago is not connected to the mainland electricity grid and the current generation system is mainly based on traditional fossil fuel. Therefore, the islands strongly dependent on fuel importations, with high costs due to logistics. Furthermore, due to the inadequate coverage of residential heating and cooling needs, the per capita energy consumption is far below the Spanish national average. This occurrence has inspired an intense debate on the current development model of the Canary Archipelago, which has led to the implementation of actions a…
Il diritto islamico nel sistema delle fonti normative dell'ordinamento iraniano
2011
The essay aims to analyze the Iranian legal order by dweeling upon the connection between the religious legal sources and the secular ones. The acknowledgement of an apical right, whose origin is divine, coexists indeed with the law-making process provisions. In particular, the Author stresses the distinctive features and inherent contradictions of this legal order, which is defined as a "constitutional theocracy". Furthermore, the Author also addresses the duties of the Council of Guardians, which plays a central role in the definition of the hierarchy of legal sources, working both as interpreter of the Constitution and as controller of the compliance of ordinary and constitutional laws w…
The expansion $\star$ mod $\bar{o}(\hbar^4)$ and computer-assisted proof schemes in the Kontsevich deformation quantization
2019
The Kontsevich deformation quantization combines Poisson dynamics, noncommutative geometry, number theory, and calculus of oriented graphs. To manage the algebra and differential calculus of series of weighted graphs, we present software modules: these allow generating the Kontsevich graphs, expanding the noncommutative & x22c6;-product by using a priori undetermined coefficients, and deriving linear relations between the weights of graphs. Throughout this text we illustrate the assembly of the Kontsevich & x22c6;-product up to order 4 in the deformation parameter Already at this stage, the & x22c6;-product involves hundreds of graphs; expressing all their coefficients via 149 w…
Twenty years of scientific activity at Sparacia experimental area. Quaderni di Idronomia Montana 33
2016
The main purpose of this booklet is to give to the participants to the Palermo’s Conference of the EU COST ACTION ES1306 - CONNECTING EUROPEAN CONNECTIVITY RESEARCH - CONNECTEUR a general idea of the scientific activity that was carried out in the past 20 years on the basis of the data collected at the Sparacia experimental station for soil erosion measurement, in Sicily, South Italy. The booklet includes a presentation of the experimental site, a description of the applied methods and procedures for measuring soil erosion processes at the Sparacia experimental area, and an illustration of the developed methodologies for predicting soil erosion from plots, small basins, rills and gullies. I…
Food Contaminants
2014
Chemical contaminants may occur in our food from various sources. Contaminants can be present in foods mainly as a result of the use of agrochemicals, such as residues of pesticides and veterinary drugs, contamination from environmental sources (water, air or soil pollution), cross-contamination or formation during food processing, migration from food packaging materials, presence or contamination by natural toxins or use of unapproved food additives and adulterants. They typically pose a health concern, resulting in strict regulations of their levels by national governments and internationally. Therefore, analysis of relevant chemical contaminants is an essential part of food safety testin…
