Ēšanas uzvedības saistība ar vadības funkcijām un lemšanas procesu

Pētījuma mērķis ir pārbaudīt un izpētīt, kādas ir saistības starp ēšanas uzvedību, vadības funkcijām un lemšanas procesu. Papildu mērķis ir noteikt, vai pastāv ēšanas uzvedības, vadības funkciju un lemšanas procesa atšķirības cilvēkiem ar aptaukošanos, paaugstinātu, pazeminātu vai normas robežām atbilstošu ķermeņa masas indeksu. Pētījuma gala izlase sastāv no 184 respondentiem (27 vīrieši un 159 sievietes) vecumā no 19 līdz 60 gadiem. Dati tika ievākti tiešsaistē. A number of models of visual-word recognition assume that the repetition of an item in a lexical decision experiment increases that item's familiarity/wordness. This would produce not only a facilitative repetition effect for words, but also an inhibitory effect for nonwords (i.e., more familiarity/wordness makes the negative decision slower). We conducted a two-block lexical decision experiment to examine word/nonword repetition effects in the framework of a leading “familiarity/wordness” model of the lexical decision task, namely, the diffusion model (Ratcliff et al., 2004). Genetic diversity of a clonal earthworm : gene expression variation and impacts on decomposition in metal contaminated soil

Biodiversity affects ecosystem functioning positively. Metal-contamination diminishes species diversity and ecosystem function depends on the remaining species, and the genotypes within them. I studied how the clonally reproducing earthworm Dendrobaena octaedra responds to soil metal contamination and how its genetic diversity affects decomposition. Expression of the gene for the metal tolerance protein metallothionein was compared between populations with or without metal exposure history: with exposure history expression was high and stable and without there was a slow response.
