The essay focuses on two yards of the interior of Sicily between the end of the fifteenth century and the first half of the sixteenth century: the mother church of Pietraperzia and that of Assoro. New documentary investigations allowed to set out the master builders involved in the construction process and to deduce some construction methods in use for churches basilica. These data, together with the direct observation of the buildings have allowed to hypothesize, in both cases, the original configuration of the churches. Christian religions are differ significantly in their approach to termination of marriage by means of divorce. The Orthodox Church, accepting the sacramental character of marriage, allows for divorce and agrees for marrying again. An important role in shaping of religious norms is played by the autocephalous system within the Church. In accordance with it, the church canons based on the dogmas of the Orthodox Church must be interpreted with respect to the situation of the local church and with respect to the particular point in history. The contribution traces the story relating to the construction of the tower facade of the Mother Church of Salaparuta, destroyed by the earthquake of the Belice Valley in 1968 and of which there are, in addition to the historical iconography, also many stone blocks that once constituted the imposing structure. The research conducted evaluates any designers, the reference models identifiable in some Austrian area solutions, the design constraints determined by the seismic rush of the area, the similarities and differences with the architectures of the same type identified in the eastern area of Sicily and built after the earthquake of 1693.

Początki kultury muzycznej Nowego Waliszowa związane są z tamtejszą świątynią pw. św. Mikołaja. Już w 1699 r. wyposażono ją w 7-głosowy pozytyw. Obecne organy zostały wybudowane w 1912 r. przez firmę Schlag & Söhne ze Świdnicy. Instrument typu multiplex o pneumatycznej trakturze rejestrów i gry posiada 15 głosów, w tym dziewięć realnych. Niewielka parafia dysponowała także zespołem wokalno-instrumentalnym, który nie tylko dbał o liturgię, ale także organizował koncerty. W 1930 r. liczył 31 chórzystów i 16 instrumentalistów. Nazwą knānāya (także „południowcy”) określa się jedno z ramion indyjskiego chrześcijaństwa, którego członkowie doszukują się swojej genezy w starożytnej emigracji perskich chrześcijan, przybyłych do Indii pod przewodnictwem kupca Tomasza z Kany. Charakterystyczną cechą tej grupy jest silne przywiązanie do tradycji i bezwarunkowa ochrona tożsamości łączącej współczesnych „południowców” z ich przodkami. Sam fakt głębokiego przywiązania do tradycji i w konsekwencji jej silna ochrona nie powinien dziwić, wszak jest to jedno z podstawowych praw każdej wspólnoty i każdego człowieka.
