Structured reporting of rectal cancer staging and restaging: A consensus proposal
2021
Background: Structured reporting (SR) in oncologic imaging is becoming necessary and has recently been recognized by major scientific societies. The aim of this study was to build MRI-based structured reports for rectal cancer (RC) staging and restaging in order to provide clinicians all critical tumor information. Materials and Methods: A panel of radiologist experts in abdominal imaging, called the members of the Italian Society of Medical and Interventional Radiology, was established. The modified Delphi process was used to build the SR and to assess the level of agreement in all sections. The Cronbach’s alpha (Cα) correlation coefficient was used to assess the internal consistency of ea…

Valoración y confianza de los espectadores de los programas de salud de TVE
2019
Televisión Española (TVE) has made possible the dissemination of medical topics in the 2016 season through four specialized health programs: Saber vivir, Centro médico, Esto es vida and El ojo clínico. In order to better understand their reception by spectators, this study analyzes, on the one hand, the data from the audiometry and, on the other hand, the results of a survey launched through social networks. The questionnaire, responded by 158 followers of the programs, measured the value of the programs and the spectators’ confidence in their informative and audiovisual treatment. This research corresponds to the second phase of a broader project in which the contents of television program…
An Automatic Ontology-Based Approach to Support Logical Representation of Observable and Measurable Data for Healthy Lifestyle Management: Proof-of-C…
2020
Background Lifestyle diseases, because of adverse health behavior, are the foremost cause of death worldwide. An eCoach system may encourage individuals to lead a healthy lifestyle with early health risk prediction, personalized recommendation generation, and goal evaluation. Such an eCoach system needs to collect and transform distributed heterogenous health and wellness data into meaningful information to train an artificially intelligent health risk prediction model. However, it may produce a data compatibility dilemma. Our proposed eHealth ontology can increase interoperability between different heterogeneous networks, provide situation awareness, help in data integration, and discover…
SOIGNER AUX FRONTIÈRES : REGARD PSYCHODYNAMIQUE SUR LE QUOTIDIEN TRAUMATIQUE DES SOIGNANTS/RÉFUGIÉS
2017
Surrogacy relationships: a critical interpretative review
2020
Abstract Based on a critical interpretative review of existing qualitative research investigating accounts of ‘lived experience’ of surrogates and intended parents from a relational perspective, this article proposes a typology of surrogacy arrangements. The review is based on the analysis of 39 articles, which belong to a range of different disciplines (mostly sociology, social psychology, anthropology, ethnology, and gender studies). The number of interviews in each study range from as few as seven to over one hundred. Countries covered include Australia, Canada, Greece, India, Iran, Israel, Italy, Mexico, Norway, Russia, Sweden, UK, Ukraine, and the USA. Most studies focus only on surrog…
Kinetics of Renal Function during Induction in Newly Diagnosed Multiple Myeloma: Results of Two Prospective Studies by the German Myeloma Study Group…
2021
Background: Preservation of kidney function in newly diagnosed (ND) multiple myeloma (MM) helps to prevent excess toxicity. Patients (pts) from two prospective trials were analyzed, provided postinduction (PInd) restaging was performed. Pts received three cycles with bortezomib (btz), cyclophosphamide, and dexamethasone (dex
COMPRENSIÓN LECTORA Y ORAL: RELACIONES CON CI, GÉNERO Y RENDIMIENTO ACADÉMICO DE ESTUDIANTES DE EDUCACIÓN PRIMARIA READING AND ORAL COMPREHENSION: RE…
2016
ABSTRACTThe aim of this study was to investigate the relationship between reading and oral comprehension of primary school students, considering their IQ, their gender, and their academic performance. The students were enrolled in a state school located in the Valencian community where there are different linguistics programs, known as PIP and PIL. The Raven Test and the reading and oral comprehension Prolec-R tasks were provided. The academic performance of the students was also tested in the last term regarding the areas of Mathematics, Spanish and Science. The results showed statistically significant differences between the performance of reading and oral comprehension considering the IQ…
Rethinking validity in qualitative sport and exercise psychology research: a realist perspective
2019
Over the last two decades, the relativist approach has significantly shaped debates about the quality and rigour of qualitative research in sport and exercise psychology (SEP). In the absence of any published critiques of relativism in SEP, this paper problematises its central claims with a focus on the most recent contribution offered by Smith and McGannon (2018 Smith, B., & McGannon, K. R. (2018). Developing rigor in qualitative research: Problems and opportunities within sport and exercise psychology. International Review of Sport and Exercise Psychology, 11, 101–121. doi: 10.1080/1750984X.2017.1317357[Taylor & Francis Online], [Web of Science ®], , [Google Scholar]. Developing rigor in …
Aerosolization Performance of Jet Nebulizers and Biopharmaceutical Aspects
2019
In this work, 13 jet nebulizers, some of which in different configurations, were investigated in order to identify the biopharmaceutical constraints related to the quality attributes of the medicinal products, which affect their safety, efficiency, compliance, and effectiveness. The aerosolization parameters, including the aerosol output, aerosol output rate, mass median aerodynamic diameter, and fine particle fraction, were determined according to the European Standard EN 13544-1, using sodium fluoride as a reference formulation. A comparison between the aerosol output nebulization time and the fine particle fraction displayed a correlation between the aerosol quality and the nebulization …
