The present field experiment examines the relationship between self-awareness, violation of personal space and helping behavior. A beggar asking for alms on the streets. To induce the first experimental condition, the state of objective self-awareness, the beggar had a mirror at chest height, suspended from a string round his neck. In the control condition, in place of the mirror, the beggar held a similarly dimensioned piece of cardboard in the same position. Both mirror and cardboard bore the message "A FEW PENNIES THANKS." With the conceptual framework of control levers of Simons (1995), this article shows how to coordinate diagnostic and interactive uses of the same "management control system" (in this case a system of environmental indicators) for the deployment and the emergence of new strategies. In contrast to the literature, we propose an articulation "in parallel" of levers of control as alternative to sliding levers of control. These results are obtained from a case study in a French wine and spirits subject to large strategic environmental uncertainties.

The paper describes the elaboration of the Charter of Lampedusa. It focuses on the political and geopolitical upheavals of 2014, paying particular attention to the evolving humanitarian-military devices of border management and controls deployed in the Euro-Mediterranean area. Borders are analyzed not only with respect to their function of geographic separation, but also as social, cultural, and economic markers. Abstract Background CUIDA-TE is an APP that offers transdiagnostic cognitive behavioral therapy focused on enhancing emotion regulation. As a novelty, it incorporates ecological momentary interventions (EMI), which can provide psychological support in real time, when suffering arises. Physical Fitness in Young Men between 1975 and 2015 with a Focus on the Years 2005–2015

Purpose: The purpose of the present study was to investigate changes in physical fitness and anthropometry of young men entering the military service in Finland during the years 1975–2015. Methods: The study included the fitness test results of 627,142 healthy young male conscripts (age 19.1 T 0.4 yr). Data included results of aerobic capacity, muscle fitness tests, and anthropometric characteristics. Results: The results show that the increase in mean body mass of young men has slowed down during the last 10 yr. However, the total increase in body mass was 6.8 kg (8.8%, P e 0.001) between 1993 and 2015. The mean distance achieved in the 12-min running test decreased by 337 m (12.2%, P e 0.…
