Precision 71Ga – 71Ge mass-difference measurement

The 71Ga(νe, e−) 71Ge reaction Q value has been measured with the JYFLTRAP mass spectrometer at the IGISOL facility of the University of Jyv¨askyl¨a to Q = 232.443(93) keV. This value agrees with previous measurements, though it features a much higher accuracy. The Q value is being discussed in the context of the solar neutrino capture rate in 71Ga. peerReviewed

Unkarista lähtöisin oleva Varga-neményi – matematiikanopetusmenetelmä on konstruktivistinen ja oppilaslähtöinen tapa opettaa matematiikkaa. Menetelmässä on seitsemän pedagogista perusperiaatetta: 1) todellisuuteen perustuvien kokemusten hankkiminen, 2)abstraktion tie, 3) oppilaan kehityksen ja ominaispiirteiden huomioon ottaminen, 4) toimintavälineiden runsas käyttö, 5) laaja ja yhtenäinen käsitteiden pohjustus, 6) opettaja ja matematiikan opetus ja 7) lupa erehtyä, väitellä ja iloita. Tämän tutkimuksen tarkoituksena oli selvittää toiminnallisuuden merkitystä matematiikan oppimisessa. Tutkimuksessa haluttiin selvittää onko toiminnallisuudella niin suuri merkitys matematiikan oppimisessa kuin usein alaan liittyvässä tutkimuskirjallisuudessa esitetään. Tutkimus on toimintatutkimus. Clinical Manifestation and Obstetric Outcomes in Pregnant Women with SARS-CoV-2 Infection at Delivery: A Retrospective Cohort Analysis

This retrospective cohort study aimed to analyze the clinical manifestations, complications, and maternal-fetal outcomes in patients affected by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) infection during delivery. The cohort included 61 pregnant women positive for SARS-CoV-2 infection at the time of delivery. Patients were divided into two groups: symptomatic and asymptomatic. We found a significantly higher rate of leukocytosis (p < 0.00078) and lymphopenia (p < 0.0024) in symptomatic women compared with asymptomatic ones. Assessment of students’ agency in Finnish and Spanish university courses: Analysis of measurement invariance

This study reports on the measurement invariance of the Agency of University Students Scale in data consisting of Finnish and Spanish university students (n = 645) and presents cross-national findings on student agency assessment. Multigroup confirmatory factor analysis confirmed the metric invariance for 10 factors, which allows comparisons of covariance structures and correlation analyses, and can, for example, be used to examine background factor effects on agency across groups. Abstract Traditional rural biotopes (TRBs) are threatened habitats that host significant biodiversity and several ecosystem services, and depend on active management such as low-intensity grazing. The current study explores private landowners’ decision-making on TRB management and abandonment within a social-ecological system framework. We provide insight into supporting resilience of TRB systems in the face of agricultural modernization.
