In a scenario where eco-sustainability and a reduction in chemotherapeutic drug waste are certainly a prerogative to safeguard the biosphere, the use of natural products (NPs) represents an alternative therapeutic approach to counteract cancer diseases. The presence of a heterogeneous cancer stem cell (CSC) population within a tumor bulk is related to disease recurrence and therapy resistance. Tertiary methyl-substituted stereocenters are present in numerous biologically active natural products. Reported herein is a catalytic enantioselective method for accessing these chiral building blocks using the Mukaiyama-Michael reaction between silyl ketene thioacetals and acrolein. To enable remote enantioface control on the nucleophile, a new iminium catalyst, optimized by three-parameter tuning and by identifying substituent effects on enantioselectivity, was designed. Ihmisillä on usein haasteita sitoutua pitkän aikavälin tavoitteisiin. Oman talouden hallinnassa tämä voi tarkoittaa säästämisvaikeuksia, mutta myös maksuhäiriömerkintöihin ja ylivelkaantumiseen johtavaa kuluttamista. Aikaisemman tutkimuksen mukaan erilaiset sitouttamisvälineet ovat edistäneet heikon itsekontrollin omaavien henkilöiden säästämistä ja toimineet näin osaratkaisuna tähän ongelmaan. Tämä artikkeli täydentää aikaisempaa tutkimusta tarkastelemalla asuntosäästöpalkkio (ASP) -tiliä säästämisen sitouttamisvälineenä.
