El siguiente trabajo expone la aplicación de la Terapia de Exposición, Relajación y Reescritura de la pesadilla (ERRT) en un caso de una joven de 25 años con un diagnóstico previo de Trastorno Límite de la Personalidad. Tras la evaluación se llegó al diagnóstico de un trastorno por pesadillas subagudo moderado y un trastorno de ritmo circadiano de sueño-vigilia secundario, de fases retrasadas episódico y caracterizado por dos tipos de pesadillas recurrentes. La intervención se dividió en cuatro sesiones semanales y cinco sesiones de seguimiento. The Assimilation of Problematic Experiences Scale (APES) and the Innovative Moments Coding System were applied to transcripts of a successful case of linguistic therapy of evaluation independently by different research groups. Assimilation theory and research suggest that higher APES scores reflect therapeutic gains, with a level of approximately 4.0 separating good from poor outcome cases. The innovative moments (IMs) model suggests that IMs classified as reconceptualization and performing change occur mainly in good outcome cases, whereas action, reflection and protest occur in both good and poor outcome cases. The current study examined the unique and combined roles of spirituality and religious identity formation processes on ethnocultural empathy among Italian youth. Spirituality was conceptualized as a desire for self-transcendence. Ethnocultural empathy entails concern for those of other cultural backgrounds. In this paper we compare interventions of the same group analyst in two different groups - a traditional slow-open group of six out-patients with Eating Disorders diagnosis (all female; age: 16-26) and a time-limited, group of eight outpatients (different in age and sex) with organic vision disturbances. Our aim was to see if the same group therapist adopts different therapeutic interpretative interventions in the two groups, depending on the aims of each group and the different patients’ diagnosis. Although various “talking cure” treatments typically constitute an important part of practices in social work and mental health services, there are few studies on the actual “talk-within-the-cure.” This qualitative study examined talk in group treatment for men who had used violence against their intimate partners.
