La fervida attività di traduttore dal greco al latino alla Corte degli Svevi in Sicilia fa di Bartolomeo da Messina uno dei protagonisti europei di quel vasto movimento di recupero delle origini della scienza e della filosofia greca che riguardò l'Occidente latino tra XII e XIII secolo. Praktiskajā daļā veikti trokšņa līmeņa mērījumi vairākos kontrolpunktos Nordeķu parkā un Dzegužkalnā, rezultātu statistiskā apstrāde veikta, lai novērtētu sezonālās un diennakts atšķirības, meteoroloģisko parametru, reljefa un attāluma ietekmi uz trokšņa izplatību.

Efectos de la cirugía bariátrica en la apnea obstructiva del sueño

La obesidad se relaciona íntimamente con la apnea obstructiva del sueño (AOS). Se presenta una tesis doctoral en la que se evaluó mediante un estudio prospectivo longitudinal la prevalencia de AOS en pacientes candidatos a cirugía bariátrica y las características de su vía aérea superior, así como cuáles fueron los efectos de la pérdida de peso tras la cirugía bariátrica en la AOS y los cambios en la anatomía de la vía aérea superior. La prevalencia de AOS en este estudio fue de 74,2%. La edad superior a los 48 años fue un factor predictivo independiente de AOS moderada o grave. The paper presents the results of three-year studies conducted at 75 locations in Poland testing the use of the London planes for overwintering of true-bugs. Insects were sampled from the bark of trunks. Altogether 25 species of Heteroptera was recorded, including three invasive species that can considerable affect plane trees: Arocatus longiceps, Corythucha ciliata and Oxycarenus lavaterae.

Mūsdienu nanoelektroniskas ierīces ļauj precīzi manipulēt atsevišķu elektronu stāvokļus, izmantojot elektrostatiski vadāmās tuneļbarjeras. Elektronam piemīt lādiņš un enerģija, tāpēc ir iespējams precīzi kontrolēt arī tunelēšanas strāvas un siltuma plūsmas. Darbā tiks pētīta enerģijas pārnese elektronu kvantu sūkņos, izmantojot elektrostatiski vadāmo tuneļbarjeru fenomenoloģiskus modeļus un kinētiskos vienādojumus. Sūkņa darbība notiks līdzsvara režīmā, ļaujot saistīt modeļa mikrostāvokļus ar ierīces temperatūru.
