Šobrīd Latvijā pieaug pētnieku interese par runāto valodu un valodas lietojumu daudzveidīgās saziņas situācijās. Runa ir cieši saistīta ar situāciju, kurā runas akta dalībnieki veido izteikumus. Runātā valoda ir cieši saistīta ne tikai ar lingvistisko, bet arī sociālo kontekstu. Darba mērķis ir izpētīt ģimenes struktūras ietekmi uz valodas lietojumu ikdienā : sociolingvistiskā aspektā. Faktoloģiskā materiāla avoti ir diktofonā fiksēti spontānas sarunvalodas ieraksti, kas veikti, runātājiem nezinot, lai saglabātu komunikācijas dabiskumu un autentiskumu. Komunikācijas dalībnieki, kuru veidotie ikdienas mutvārdu izteikumi ir izmantoti par pētījuma avotu, ir pieci darba autores ģimenes locekļi.…

Taloudellisten toimijoiden kyky suojautua demokraattiselta yhdenvertaisuusperiaatteelta on kapitalismin analyysin ydinkysymyksiä. On myös hyväksi, että marxilainen lähestymistapa lisää painoarvoaan yhteiskuntatieteellisessä keskustelussa. ”Foreigner talk” -nimistä ilmiötä on aikaisemmin tutkittu melko laajaltikin eri näkökulmien kautta. This study investigated the overall patterns of variation across seven oral proficiency levels of 1,263 Japanese EFL learners and native English speakers. The methodological approach combined a learner corpus, language processing techniques, and multivariate statistical analyses to identify patterns of language use. The largest spoken learner corpus in Japan, the National Institute of Information and Communications Technology Japanese Learner English (NICT JLE) Corpus was used for the analysis. The aim of this paper is to compare a specific picture of speech disturbances in Polish-speaking patients with mixed dysarthria in multiple sclerosis (MS), and in Wilson’s disease (WD). We selected for the experiment 20 persons with dysarthria of different origin: 10 persons with dysarthria in multiple sclerosis (MS), and 10 persons with dysarthria in Wilson’s disease (WD). The compared groups were similar in age and the severity of the dysarthria. Patients read 11 words containing selected Polish sounds distinguished according to the manner of articulation. Perceptual Interactions in Complex Odor Mixtures

The perception of everyday odors relies on elemental or configural processing of complex mixtures of odorants. Theoretically, the configural processing of a mixture could lead to the perception of a single specific odor for the mixture; however, such a type of perception has hardly been proven in human studies. Here, we report the results of a sorting task demonstrating that a six-component mixture carries an odor clearly distinct from the odors of its components. These results suggest a blending effect of individual components’ odors in mixtures containing more than three odorants.
