Introduzione Dal gennaio 2003, la Regione Sicilia ha attivato un Progetto per l’Organizzazione della Farmacovigilanza regionale, che si è fortemente interessato all’oncologia con l’istituzione di un Centro dedicato. Materiali e metodi Sono state analizzate le segnalazioni di sospette reazioni avverse (ADR) da farmaci oncologici inserite nella Rete Nazionale di Farmacovigilanza in Sicilia nel 2014. Depakine (Valproate, VPA) has been the first line, most-frequently prescribed, anti-epileptic drug in children for the past 50 years. Idiosyncratic hepatotoxicity (iDILI) by VPA has been demonstrated in several case reports, where microvesicular liver steatosis was the most frequent feature. Moreover, more than half of VPA-treated patients could have silent fatty liver as demonstrated by ultrasounds. Extensive experimental studies support that VPA has a high potential to induce steatosis in hepatocytes. International audience; Relationship between start of the rainy season and farmer's planting date have been analysed at local scale through in situ daily rainfall records and agronomical measurement provided by on-farm survey at plot scale for 10 villages network located on the mesoscale AMMA-CATCH Niger site during the 2004-2007 rainy seasons. Many classical empirical methods of monsoon onset dectection (e.g. Benoit, Kowal, Sivakumar, Ati, Marteau, Balme, Sultan) and numerical methods based on crop model SARRAH have been compared to the observed farmer's sowing date. Abstract Sicily has a long tradition in citrus fruit cultivation that, with vineyard and olive tree, represents the main Mediterranean tree crops. Since many Sicilian farmers in recent years have decided to abandon conventional lemon orchards, in this paper we have evaluated the financial sustainability of organic lemon production by comparing it with the conventional one. Financial analysis has been carried out in a case study on the northwestern coast of Sicily, considering a 50-year economic life of an orchard. Abstract The use of ion mobility spectrometry (IMS) has been evaluated as analytical methodology to detect and evaluate the occupational exposure to pesticides. The developed IMS methodology was used, in positive and negative modes, to determine the presence of pesticides in air and to evaluate possible inhalation exposures of workers and users based on active sampling on Teflon membranes and direct thermal desorption IMS. The heptapeptide angiotensin-(1-7) is a biologically active metabolite of angiotensin II, the predominant peptide of the renin-angiotensin system. Recently, we have shown that the receptor Mas is associated with angiotensin-(1-7)-induced signalling and mediates, at least in part, the vasodilatory properties of angiotensin-(1-7). However, it remained controversial whether an additional receptor could account for angiotensin-(1-7)-induced vasorelaxation. Este trabajo consiste en la transcripción y contextualización de la última lección de cátedra de Román Casares López (1908-1990), catedrático de análisis químico en la Facultad de Farmacia de Madrid. Se trata de una conferencia impartida el 6 de mayo de 1978, registrada en un casete con una duración de 51 minutos y 25 segundos donado al Archivo General de la Universidad Complutense de Madrid y digitalizado recientemente. Esta fuente histórica, situada entre el contexto docente y una historia de vida, ofrece detalles de gran interés tanto sobre su autor, como sobre la farmacia y la química de la España franquista.
