This article discusses the three Finnish city names Helsinki, Espoo, and Vantaa, and the urban discourses that surround them. The study reveals patterns of socio-spatial differentiation by examining what meanings people attach to these capital region cities and investigating how these meanings are expressed in online discourses. Using the methodological approach of corpus-assisted onomastics (CAO), this study incorporates onomastics, geographical information systems (GIS), and corpus linguistics. The aim of the article is to theoretically substantiate the use of graffiti in the learning process and practically demonstrate how graffiti texts could be included in language acquisition (especially in the language as a first language lessons). Grapevine virus A (GVA) is a phloem-restricted virus (genus Vitivirus, family Betaflexiviridae) that cause crop losses of 5–22% in grapevine cultivars, transmitted by different species of pseudococcid mealybugs, the mealybug Heliococcus bohemicus, and by the scale insect Neopulvinaria innumerabilis. In this work, we studied the genetic structure and molecular variability of GVA, ascertaining its presence and spread in different commercial vineyards of four Sicilian provinces (Italy). Current debate exists around whether a presumed eccentric exercise, the Nordic hamstring exercise (NHE), actually causes active hamstring muscle lengthening. This is because of the decoupling that can occur between the muscle fascicle and muscle-tendon unit (MTU) length changes in relatively compliant human lower-limb MTUs, which results in MTU lengthening not necessarily causing muscle fascicle lengthening. This missing knowledge complicates the interpretation of why the NHE is effective at reducing running-related hamstring muscle injury risk in athletes previously unfamiliar with performing this exercise. Maģistra darbs ““Gada kandži” izvēles principi, to sistematizācija un kategorizācija” analizē “Gada kandži” akciju, kuras ietvaros japāņu balsotāji izvēlas hieroglifu jeb kandži, kurš viņuprāt vislabāk raksturo pagājušā gada notikumus. Līdz šim publiski pieejamos avotos netika atrasts neviens pētījums, kurš par analīzes objektu izvēlētos “Gada kandži”, un šīs akcijas vecums (norisinās kopš 1995. gada) ļauj spriest, ka iespējams šāda veida darbi nepastāv vispār. Šāds pētījums tomēr varētu dot ieskatu japāņu psiholingvistiskās konceptualizācijas procesos, kā arī kļūt par rīku turpmākiem pētījumiem japāņu lingvistikas un socioloģijas jomās.
