Comprehensive Strategy for Proton Chemical Shift Prediction: Linear Prediction with Nonlinear Corrections

A fast 3D/4D structure-sensitive procedure was developed and assessed for the chemical shift prediction of protons bonded to sp3carbons, which poses the maybe greatest challenge in the NMR spectral parameter prediction. The LPNC (Linear Prediction with Nonlinear Corrections) approach combines three well-established multivariate methods viz. the principal component regression (PCR), the random forest (RF) algorithm, and the k nearest neighbors (kNN) method. The role of RF is to find nonlinear corrections for the PCR predicted shifts, while kNN is used to take full advantage of similar chemical environments. Dziļāko elpceļu slimības un akūts gastroenterīts ir galevnais cēlonis bērnu saslimšanai un mirstībai visā pasaulē. Arī Latvijas bērnu populācijā šīs slimības ir bieži sastopamas, tomēr ne vienmēr ir zināms šo slimību etioloģiskais aģents. Cilvēka bokavīruss (HBoV) ir 2005. gadā atklāts parvovīruss, ko saista ar elpceļu slimību un akūta gastroenterīta izraisīšanu bērniem. Šī pētījuma mērķis bija noskaidrot HBoV iesaisti dziļāko elpceļu slimību un akūta gastroenterīta patoģenēzē hospitalizētiem bērniem. This article describes the main results of an ethnographic study on citizen participation carried out in the context of the development of the Urban Initiative (2007-2015): Cuenca-Barrio de San Antón. Managed by the City Council of Cuenca and financed by the European Regional Development Funds (FEDER) under the Ministry of Economy and Finance at the Government of Spain The results of the research show how in the context of the application of neoliberal policies, citizen participation becomes the trigger for new conflicts between institutions and citizens. Cet article presente les resultats d’une enquete exploratoire dont l’objet est l’etude des rapports entre l’automatisation des tableaux de bord et la coherence du controle de gestion. A partir de deux cas juges exemplaires, celui d’une entreprise industrielle et celui d’une banque, nous etudions cette relation sous l’angle du partage des representations et de la coherence des comportements. Il en ressort que l’augmentation de la formalisation ne cree pas davantage de rigidite mais produit au contraire plus de dynamique ou de continuite et de permanence. The Covid-19 pandemic triggered governments and designers to revalue and redesign public spaces. This paper focuses on the various design responses to Covid-19 proposed and implemented in public spaces. In particular, we identify the kinds of challenges that such design responses address and the strategies that they use. We selected 56 design examples, largely collected from internet sources. By analyzing the design examples we identified five Covid-related challenges that were addressed in public space: sustaining amenities, keeping a distance, feeling connected, staying mentally healthy, and expanding health infrastructures. Regularization Preserving Localization of Close Edges

International audience; In this letter, we address the problem of the influence of neighbor edges and their effect on the edge delocalization while extracting a neighbor contour by a derivative approach. The properties to be fulfilled by the regularization operators to minimize or suppress this side effect are deduced, and the best detectors are pointed out. The study is carried out in 1-D for discrete signal. We show that among the derivative filters, one of them can correctly detect our model edges without being influenced by a neighboring transition, whatever their separation distance is and their respective amplitude is.
