We provide a check-list of Italian birds with major emphasis on the phenological categorization of each taxon, following the approach and updating the results of an analogous list previously published (Brichetti & Massa, 1998). In this list we based on the IOC World Bird List (Gill & Donsker, 2015) for nomenclature, species sequence and higher level taxonomy (from genus to order). This compilation takes into account the decisions made by the Italian Ornithological Commission (COI) and includes 548 species, recorded in Italy until the end of 2014.

Measuring the presence of organized crime across Italian provinces: a sensitivity analysis

AbstractThe existing literature identifies different indicators to construct organized crime indices and places equal importance to different concepts of organized crime. This paper examines the sensitivity of organized crime across Italian provinces when different set of indicators and weights are used to combine crime indicators. Our findings suggest that there is a remarkable variation in the distribution of organized crime across Italian provinces based on the choice of indicators and the importance given to different crime indicators. Si mettono a sistema tre brevi testi di tipo etnogeografico con cui si sono cimentati Silone, Jovine e Borgese negli anni Trenta-Quaranta del Novecento, concettualizzando e testualizzando i caratteri più peculiari della propria regione di appartenenza. Prenderò in esame la prefazione che Borgese scrisse per Sicilia (Touring Club Italiano, 1933) e le due prefazioni che Silone e Jovine scrissero per Abruzzo e Molise, (Touring Club Italiano, 1948). Il saggio analizza il modo in cui il modello economico occidentale diventa oggetto di narrazione in Vergine giurata di Elvira Dones e Rosso come una sposa di Anilda Ibrahimi. Questi due romanzi, pubblicati rispettivamente nel 2007 e nel 2008, reinterpretano da un punto di vista “diverso” le questioni economiche, dando voce ad una alterità che non è solo geografica, ma anche esistenziale e biologica. The aims of the present study were to provide a contribution to the validation of the Adult Sibling Relationship Questionnaire (ASRQ) (Stocker, Lanthier, & Furman, 1997) with a population of Italian emerging adults.
