Graphe-Based Rules For XML Data Conversion to OWL Ontology
2010
International audience; The paper presents a flexible method to enrich and populate an existing OWL ontology from XML data based on graph-based rules. These rules are defined in order to populate automatically a new version of an OWL ontology. Today, most of data exchanged between information systems is done with the help of the XML document. Leading researches in the domain of database systems are moving to semantic model in order to store data and its semantics definition. This flexible method consists in populating an existing OWL ontology from XML data. In paper we present such a method based on the definition of a graph which represents rules that drive the populating process.
Semantic and Multi-scale BIM/CIM/LIM
2019
Compliance checking for building models, cities and territories involve formalizing a set of model schema knowledge and constraint. The objective of our study is to propose: an information model to federate heterogeneous data sources describing an urban area (building and building environment) along with a method for formally specifying of urban rules. The overall goal we pursue is to be able to query and to verify data against different regulations and/or requirements. The purpose of this article is to describe our approach for interoperability among different data sources (e.g. IFC, CityGML) thus creating a consistent description of an urban area.
Deep learning for dehazing: Benchmark and analysis
2018
International audience; We compare a recent dehazing method based on deep learning , Dehazenet, with traditional state-of-the-art approach, on benchmark data with reference. Dehazenet estimates the depth map from a single color image, which is used to inverse the Koschmieder model of imaging in the presence of haze. In this sense, the solution is still attached to the Koschmieder model. We demonstrate that this method exhibits the same limitation than other inversions of this imaging model.
Query-preserving watermarking of relational databases and XML documents
2011
Watermarking allows robust and unobtrusive insertion of information in a digital document. During the last few years, techniques have been proposed for watermarking relational databases or Xml documents, where information insertion must preserve a specific measure on data (for example the mean and variance of numerical attributes). In this article we investigate the problem of watermarking databases or Xml while preserving a set of parametric queries in a specified language, up to an acceptable distortion. We first show that unrestricted databases can not be watermarked while preserving trivial parametric queries. We then exhibit query languages and classes of structures that allow guarante…

Smart Network Selection and Packet Loss Improvement during Handover in Heterogeneous Environment
2013
BEST PAPER AWARD; International audience; Seamless Handover between networks in heterogeneous environment is essential to guarantee end-to-end QoS for mobile users. A key requirement is the ability to select the next best network. Currently, the implementation of the IEEE 802.21 standard by National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) considers only the signal strength as a parameter to determine the best network. In this paper, we propose including additional parameters such as available bandwidth, mobile node speed and type of network during selecting a new network to improve the QoS for mobile user's application. The results of the experiments that we performed using Network Sim…
Integrated Fuzzy Solution for Network Selection using MIH in Heterogeneous Environment
2013
ISSN: 1942-2644; International audience; Seamless handover between networks in heterogeneous environment is essential to guarantee end-to- end QoS for mobile users. A key requirement is the ability to select seamlessly the next best network. Currently, the implementation of the selection algorithm of the IEEE 802.21 standard by National Institute of Standards and Technology considers only the signal strength as a parameter to select the best destination network. In this paper, we improve the implementation of the existing selection algorithm by proposing an integrated solution to select the best destination network. Our proposed solution consists of proposing a Multi Criteria Selection Algo…
IP-Based Mobility Management and Handover Latency Measurement in heterogeneous environments
2017
International audience; One serious concern in the ubiquitous networks is the seamless vertical handover management between different wireless technologies. To meet this challenge, many standardization organizations proposed different protocols at different layers of the protocol stack. The Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) has different groups working on mobility at IP level in order to enhance mobile IPv4 and mobile IPv6 with different variants: HMIPv6 (Hierarchical Mobile IPv6), FMIPv6 (Fast Mobile IPv6) and PMIPv6 (Proxy Mobile IPv6) for seamless handover. Moreover, the IEEE 802.21 standard provides another framework for seamless handover. The 3GPP standard provides the Access Netw…
Méthodologie de conception de haut niveau pour la génération automatique des systèmes dynamiquement reconfigurables en utilisant IP-XACT et le profil…
2013
The main contribution of this thesis consists on the proposition and development a Model-driven Engineering (MDE) framework, in tandem with a component-based approach, for facilitating the design and implementation of Dynamic Partially Reconfigurable (DPR) Systems-on-Chip. The proposed methodology has been constructed around the Metadata-based Composition Framework paradigm, and based on common standards such as UML MARTE and the IEEE IP-XACT standard, an XML representation used for storing metadata about the IPs to be reused and of the platforms to be obtained at high-levels of abstraction. In fact, a componentizing process enables us to reuse the IP blocks, in UML MARTE, by wrapping them …
A Graph-based Tool for the Translation of XML Data to OWL-DL Ontologies
2011
International audience; Today most of the data exchanged between information systems is done with the help of the XML syntax. Unfortunately when these data have to be integrated, the integration becomes difficult because of the semantics' heterogeneity. Consequently, leading researches in the domain of database systems are moving to semantic model in order to store data and its semantics definition. To benefit from these new systems and technologies, and to integrate different data sources, a flexible method consists in populating an existing OWL ontology from XML data. In paper we present such a method based on the definition of a graph which represents rules that drive the populating proc…
