A smallest irregular oriented graph containing a given diregular one

2004

AbstractA digraph is called irregular if its vertices have mutually distinct ordered pairs of semi-degrees. Let D be any diregular oriented graph (without loops or 2-dicycles). A smallest irregular oriented graph F, F=F(D), is constructed such that F includes D as an induced subdigraph, the smallest digraph being one with smallest possible order and with smallest possible size. If the digraph D is arcless then V(D) is an independent set of F(D) comprising almost all vertices of F(D) as |V(D)|→∞. The number of irregular oriented graphs is proved to be superexponential in their order. We could not show that almost all oriented graphs are/are not irregular.

The minimum size of fully irregular oriented graphs

2001

Abstract Digraphs in which any two vertices have different pairs of semi-degrees are called fully irregular. For n-vertex fully irregular oriented graphs (i.e. digraphs without loops or 2-dicycles) the minimum size is presented.

Models of Event Driven Systems

2016

This paper provides the business process modeling approach based on usage of Domain Specific Languages (DSL). The proposed approach allows us to create executable information systems’ models and extends the concept of Event Driven Architecture (EDA) with the business process execution description. It lets us apply principles of the Model Driven Development (MDD) in order to create the information system which complies with the model. The proposed approach provides a set of advantages in information systems development, use and maintenance: bridges the gap between business and IT, an exact specification, which is easily to implement into information system, up-to-date documentation etc. The …

MAC-Engine

2011

In this demo, we prove that the flexibility supported by off-the-shelf IEEE 802.11 hardware can be significantly extended if we move the control of the MAC programming interface from the driver to the firmware, i.e. from the host CPU to the card CPU. To this purpose, we introduce the concept of MAC--Engine, that is an executor of Programmable Finite State Machines (PFSM) implemented at the firmware level: we show how the card itself can support different protocol logics thanks to PFSM bytecode representations that can be dynamically injected inside the card memory at run-time without incurring in down time issues or network disconnect events. We provide different PFSM examples in order to t…

The iranian nuclear programm, as well as its development, has been a recurrent topic since 2002, when it was discovered. Since then, it has been the focal point of strained relations between many countries, and not only of the Middle East, for the challenges created are with a lot of character, like the Agreement of 24 of July 2015.

First Results of the Eastern Ḫabur Archaeological Survey in the Dohuk Region of Iraqi Kurdistan. The Season of 2013

2015

The University of Tübingen began an archaeological survey in the westernmost part of the Kurdistan Autonomous Region of Iraq, in the province of Dohuk, in 2013. The survey area covers highly diverse ecological zones from the Tigris across the East-Tigridian plain to the high Zagros ranges along the border with Turkey. Historically, the region witnessed the expansion of Mesopotamian states since the 3rd mill. BC and was a border region between Assyria and Urartu in the 1st mill. BC.

How do early family systems predict emotion recognition in middle childhood?

2021

Facial emotion recognition (FER) is a fundamental element in human interaction. It begins to develop soon after birth and is important in achieving developmental tasks of middle childhood, such as developing mutual friendships and acquiring social rules of peer groups. Despite its importance, FER research during middle childhood continues to be rather limited. Moreover, research is ambiguous on how the quality of one's early social-emotional environment shapes FER development, and longitudinal studies spanning from infancy to later development are scarce. In this study, we examine how the cohesive, authoritarian, disengaged and enmeshed family system types, assessed during pregnancy and inf…

The ´champagne-cup` period at Carchemish. A review of the Early Bronze Age levels on the Acropolis Mound and the problem of the Inner Town.

2007

The pioneer excavations conducted by the British Museum expedition at the famous site of Carchemish in the 1910’s brought to light a large number of buildings, sculptures and inscriptions which provide an outline of the urban layout of the Iron Age city and its monuments. While many scholars have often attempted to re-examine the epigraphic material as well as the style and chronology of the major works of this period in order to set them in a proper historical context, much less attention has been paid to the earlier levels mainly uncovered on the Acropolis mound, ranging from the Neolithic to the Bronze Age. This paper discusses the archaeological evidence available and attempted to recon…
