The research topic of this dissertation is the press of the Social Democratic Party of Finland (SDP) from the March revolution of 1917 in Russia to the end of the Finnish Civil War in the spring of 1918. Under research are 16 party papers, which, however, were not owned by the party, and therefore neither under its guidance nor control. The papers' owners, local working class organizations, elected the editors-in-chief, who often held central posts in the party. In this way they could use their relatively independent positions to further their political views in their editorials. The United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are based on the Agenda 2030 according to which ‘no one is left behind’, highlighting the need for inclusive citizenship at all levels. This article examines self-help groups in rural Tanzania as potential arenas for inclusive citizenship, which is defined as bottom-up practices of membership, participation, and livelihood enhancement. Senioreiden osuus väestöstä kasvaa Suomessa ja tilausta seniorimusiikkitoiminnalle on näin yhä enemmän. Tavoitteet. Tutkimuksen tarkoitus on selvittää, miten hyvin Piotr Bazian salamapelimenetelmä soveltuu kuulovammaisten lasten matematiikan perusopetukseen. Kuulovammaisia matematiikassa menestyneitä henkilöitä tiedetään olevan vain muutamia, vaikka voisi luulla, että kuulo ei ole matematiikan oppimisessa kovinkaan keskeinen aisti. Löysin tietoa muutamasta kuulovammaisesta matematiikassa menestyneestä henkilöstä, mutta kukaan heistä ei ollut syntymäkuuro. He kaikki olivat kuuroutuneet lapsuudessaan sairauden seurauksena tai sairauden ja geneettisen taipumuksen yhteisvaikutuksesta. Examining how global citizenship education is prefigured in the Scottish Curriculum for Excellence

This study uses the Aristotelian notion of phronesis as a critical lens for examining how global citizenship education is prefigured in the Scottish Curriculum for Excellence. Based on a content analysis of key curriculum documentation, the findings outline the way in which techne and episteme with their associated ways of knowing and acting dominate the curriculum. Nevertheless, the hints of phronesis indicate the potential for developing a more critical form of global citizenship education that prefigures praxis that wisely pursues that which is good for humankind and individual flourishing.
