Abstract The study aims at evaluating, training and improving upper limb neuromuscular control in preschool gymnasts as well as at highlighting the benefits of using computerized resources (MOVE 1 DU portable appliance) in training this control type. The research method chosen for this project consists in conducting an experiment on a group of 10 subjects aged 6-7 years. The key purpose of this study is to offer a more accurate and realistic view on the potential use of computer resources in training the neuromuscular control of the upper limb.

Gross motor coordination (MC) is a basis for executing motor tasks and for learning new movement patterns. This study aimed to identify different MC trajectories in children aged 4–7-years-old. Although exercise training programs are effective in improving physical fitness and motor competence in typically developing youth, insufficient data of the impact of interventions are available in youth with Asperger syndrome (AS). This study examined the intrarater and interrater reliability of the Test of Gross Motor Development—3rd Edition (TGMD-3). Participants were 60 Finnish children aged between 3 and 9 years, divided into three separate samples of 20. Two samples of 20 were used to examine the intrarater reliability of two different assessors, and the third sample of 20 was used to establish interrater reliability. Children’s TGMD-3 performances were video-recorded and later assessed using an intraclass correlation coefficient, a kappa statistic, and a percent agreement calculation. Televised endoscopy and the concept of the “assisted” endoscopic operation is of great help in teaching surgical endoscopic techniques. The use of training dummies provides a new method of training manual dexterity and surgical skills in special courses or in surgical skill laboratories. We have developed a training system for transanal endoscopic microsurgery. Operations with our technique were performed on 116 patients. Objectives To assess cognitive functioning in patients affected by beta-thalassemia major (beta-th) by using a neuropsychological battery, and to identify clinical correlates. Material and methods Forty-six beta-th patients and 46 controls similar for age, sex, and education participated in the study.
