W sprawie potrzeby uregulowania umowy franczyzy w Polsce

Praca prezentuje w pierwszej kolejności zagadnienia związane z pojęciem umowy franczyzy jako empirycznym typem umowy, jak i teoretyczne zagadnienie problematyki umów nienazwanych. W kontekście treści stosunku prawnego franczyzy zwrócono uwagę na dwie kwestie. Po pierwsze, pomimo braku regulacji umowy franczyzy w polskim prawie cywilnym wpływ na treść stosunku prawnego franczyzy mają przepisy prawa publicznego z zakresu ochrony konkurencji (prawa antymonopolowego). Wpływ ten należy ocenić jako istotny. Benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) is one of th e most common effects of aging in men. Epidemiologists estimate that about one quarter of all men over 50 years of age suffer from BPH-derived voiding symptoms. Future demographic developments, with higher relative shares of older people, will increase the socioeconomic impact of this disease. Polder et al. (1994) calculated for the Netherlands that the treatment costs of BPH will double by 2035. Office visits for BPH related symptoms increased in the USA from 1.4 million in 1990 to 6 million in 1995, reflecting the increased public awareness of the problem and the increased desire for treatment (Kaplan et al. 1996).

The current study proposed the adaptation of the Utrecht-Management of Identity Commitments Scale (U-MICS) to the religious domain as an instrument to measure both individuals’ religious identity formation processes (when a variable-centered approach is adopted) and religious identity statuses (when a person-centered approach is adopted). Darbā tiek atspoguļota un analizēta patstāvīgo valsts pārvaldes iestāžu problemātika. Mērķis ir identificēt galvenās problēmas saistībā ar šīm iestādēm un to darbību, kā arī piedāvāt iespējamos risinājumus. Galvenās darbā apskatītās problēmas ir patstāvīgo valsts pārvaldes iestāžu nepieciešamība un vieta valsts pārvaldes sistēmā, šo iestāžu tiesiskais statuss un tiesības izdot ārējos normatīvos aktus, kā arī iespējas uzraudzīt un kontrolēt šo iestāžu darbu. Early Health, Risk Aversion and Stock Market Participation

To examine the relationship between early health status and financial decisions in adulthood, we link information on birth weight in 1966 from the Northern Finland Birth Cohort to data from the Finnish Central Securities Depository over the period of 19952010. We find that persons predisposed to poor health status in early childhood (indicated by low birth weight) avoid participating in the stock market in adulthood. The link between birth weight and stock market participation is partially explained by the fact that poor early health status leads to risk aversion. Early health status is not significantly related to the portfolio’s value-growth tilt. nonPeerReviewed
