Intelligent Tutoring System in Archaeology

A method that uses artificial intelligence for the taxonomical characterization of bone remains in archaeological sites is shown. The main goal of this method is to help students and archaeologists in the classification of samples in order to improve the efficiency of their tasks during the campaigns at archaeological sites. The development of the system implies several steps: training of classification algorithms, development of a user-friendly interface and implementation of gamification techniques to improve learning motivation and the efficiency of the system in the learning process. Strictly correlated electrons approach to excitation energies of dissociating molecules

In this work we consider a numerically solvable model of a two-electron diatomic molecule to study a recently proposed approximation based on the density functional theory of so-called strictly correlated electrons (SCE). We map out the full two-particle wave function for a wide range of bond distances and interaction strengths and obtain analytic results for the two-particle states and eigenenergies in various limits of strong and weak interactions, and in the limit of large bond distance. The two-fluid extended model of superfluid helium

In this paper we perform the first numerical comparison between the two main existing models of superfluid helium: the two-fluid model proposed by Landau and the one-fluid extended model proposed from the extended thermodynamics. The numerical experiments in this paper regard the profiles of the so-called normal and superfluid components in 2D counterflow turbulence.
The two-loop gluino's corrections on the inclusive b ---> x(s) gamma decay in the CP violation MSSM with large tan beta

We investigate two-loop gluino corrections to the effective Lagrangian for b ! s g in the minimal supersymmetric extension of the standard model (MSSM) at large tan , including the contributions in which quark flavor change is mediated by charginos. Using the translation invariance of loop momenta and the Ward-Takahashi identities that are required by the SU3 c U1 em gauge invariance, we simplify our expressions to concise forms. As an example, we discuss two-loop gluino corrections to the CP asymmetry of inclusive B ! Xs decay in CP violating MSSM. peerReviewed

Trots påvisade positiva effekter av regelbunden fysisk aktivitet verkar en liten andel diabetiker vara fysiskt aktiva. Smärta har i tidigare studier identifierats som ett hinder till fysisk aktivitet bland diabetiker och man har kunnat se samband mellan kronisk smärta och svårigheter att utföra fysisk aktivitet. Det finns dock endast ett fåtal studier som undersöker detta samband. Rapport de contrat; Nous nous intéressons ici à l'activité de lecture dans un cadre particulier. Cette activité est essentiellement cognitive. Nous tentons d'appréhender le phénomène de la mise en relief tant au moment de la production de texte qu'à celui de la représentation que le lecteur se construit de ce qui est dit par le texte. Dans le cadre de ce compte rendu nous nous limiterons volontairement à l'aspect typologie textuelle le versant expérimental de notre recherche sera abordé ultérieurement dès lors que les bases de notre travail seront bien établies.

Rapport Téléco programme Telepresence Rapport 2; Il s'agit ici d'affiner et de transférer une méthodologie d'analyse textuelle pour recommander des conceptions de supports de données textuelles adaptées à l'usage. Cette ligne de recherche vise donc plus à conforter méthodologiquement les différents aspects du projet Téléco 3 et à enrichir des outils de génération de texte transférables sur d'autres supports. Il s'agit donc d'une recherche à visée fondamentale.

Rapport de contrat CNET Étude socio-cognitive des usages du multimédia; La conjecture est faite que la structuration d'un texte technique fondée sur les valeurs illocutoires des unités textuelles pourrait favoriser son traitement. Cette recherche analyse la distinction du second plan par rapport au premier plan (valeur de «moindre importance»). Dans le cadre de cette distinction, une typologie des unités textuels de textes techniques est proposée et sa réalité psychologique évaluée expérimentalement.
