Intérêts du phénotypage de la personnalité pour améliorer la lutte biologique : cas d’étude chez l’auxiliaire Trichogramma evanescens
2021
One promising approach to improve the use of biological control agents (BCA) consists in the exploitation of intraspecific variation on traits related to mass-rearing or field performance. Consistent inter-individual variations in behaviour (known as personality) have never been considered in biological control (BC) while they have proved to be heritable and correlated to phenotypic traits possibly related to fitness in rearing or field conditions. The aim of this PhD thesis was (i) to develop an experimental design to measure personality traits in a the egg-parasitoid Trichogramma evanescens, and (ii) to evaluate the feasibility and interest of phenotyping personality traits to set and imp…
Scaling property of variational perturbation expansion for a general anharmonic oscillator with xp-potential
1995
We prove a powerful scaling property for the extremality condition in the recently developed variational perturbation theory which converts divergent perturbation expansions into exponentially fast convergent ones. The proof is given for the energy eigenvalues of an anharmonic oscillator with an arbitrary $x^p$-potential. The scaling property greatly increases the accuracy of the results.
The Variational Mcshane Integral in Locally Convex Spaces
2009
The variational McShane integral for functions taking values in a locally convex space is defined, and it is characterized by means of the p-variation of the indefinite Pettis integral
A CHARACTERIZATION OF THE WEAK RADON–NIKODÝM PROPERTY BY FINITELY ADDITIVE INTERVAL FUNCTIONS
2009
AbstractA characterization of Banach spaces possessing the weak Radon–Nikodým property is given in terms of finitely additive interval functions. Due to that characterization several Banach space valued set functions that are only finitely additive can be represented as integrals.
Radon-Nikodym derivatives of finitely additive interval measures taking values in a Banach space with basis
2011
Let X be a Banach space with a Schauder basis {en}, and let Φ(I)= ∑n en ∫I fn(t)dt be a finitely additive interval measure on the unit interval [0, 1], where the integrals are taken in the sense of Henstock–Kurzweil. Necessary and sufficient conditions are given for Φ to be the indefinite integral of a Henstock–Kurzweil–Pettis (or Henstock, or variational Henstock) integrable function f:[0, 1] → X.
Variational Henstock integrability of Banach space valued functions
2016
We study the integrability of Banach space valued strongly measurable functions defined on $[0,1]$. In the case of functions $f$ given by $\sum \nolimits _{n=1}^{\infty } x_n\chi _{E_n}$, where $x_n $ are points of a Banach space and the sets $E_n$ are Lebesgue measurable and pairwise disjoint subsets of $[0,1]$, there are well known characterizations for Bochner and Pettis integrability of $f$. The function $f$ is Bochner integrable if and only if the series $\sum \nolimits _{n=1}^{\infty }x_n|E_n|$ is absolutely convergent. Unconditional convergence of the series is equivalent to Pettis integrability of $f$. In this paper we give some conditions for variational Henstock integrability of a…
Differentiation of an additive interval measure with values in a conjugate Banach space
2014
We present a complete characterization of finitely additive interval measures with values in conjugate Banach spaces which can be represented as Henstock-Kurzweil-Gelfand integrals. If the range space has the weak Radon-Nikodým property (WRNP), then we precisely describe when these integrals are in fact Henstock-Kurzweil-Pettis integrals.
Taking Advantage of Viral Immune Evasion: Virus-Derived Proteins Represent Novel Biopharmaceuticals
2006
In healthy individuals, natural and adaptive immune responses are able to control virus entry into the host. In particular, CD8(+)-mediated cytotoxicity, sustained by the intervention of CD4+ cells, represents the major key event leading to virus eradication. On the other hand, viruses are able to evade from host immune response via several mechanisms, and special emphasis will be placed on hepatitis C virus and chronic Epstein-Barr infections also in view of personal data. Virokines, viroreceptors, and serpins greatly contribute to viral immune escape, and, among virokines, interleukin (IL)-10 has been object of intensive studies. Finally, all these products have been used as biopharmaceut…
Association study of affective disorders with genetic polymorphisms of monoamine oxidases
2000
Introduction: Monoamine oxidases (MAO) catalyze the oxidative deamination of monoamines like norepinephrine, serotonin and dopamine. The existing MAOs (A and B) have distinct although partially overlapping biological functions and distributions in the brain. MAO A is mainly expressed in catecholaminergic neurons. Thirty-fold differences in enzyme activity of MAO A can be found in cultured cells from different individuals suggesting a genetic determination of enzyme activity. Indeed, a point mutation in the coding region of the gene which creates a restriction site for Fnu4HI alters the activity. Moreover, the pharmacological inhibition of monoamine oxidase A activity is one of the most effe…
Development of a nomogram for the estimation of long-term adherence to clozapine therapy using neutrophil fluorescence
2018
Aims: Previously, we have reported an association between clozapine use and elevated FL3 neutrophil fluorescence, a flow-cytometric parameter for cell viability. Here, we developed and evaluated a pharmacokinetic-pharmacodynamic model relating FL3-fluorescence to clozapine exposure and derived a nomogram for estimation of long-term adherence. Methods: Data from 27 patients initiating clozapine were analysed using nonlinear mixed effects modelling. A previously described pharmacokinetic model for clozapine was coupled to a FL3 fluorescence model. For this, an effect compartment with clozapine concentrations as input and a first order decay rate as output was linked with an Emax model to FL3-…
