Marjo Metsomäki tutki väitöskirjassaan lapsen ja aikuisen välisiä sekä lasten keskinäisiä valta- ja neuvottelusuhteita ryhmäperhepäiväkodin ruokailutilanteissa. Tutkimus osoitti ruokailutilanteiden olevan monimuotoisia, tilannesidonnaisia, vaihtuvia ja jatkuvasti liikkeessä olevia kohtaamistilanteita. This paper aims at scrutinizing the evolution of the retail sector and, consequently, of retailscapes in a Southern Italy city, Catania. Starting from the outputs of an empirical place-based research project carried out by the authors in the mid ’2000s, the work deepens the recent transformations occurred both in the central areas and in the suburbs, in order to explore the processes and dynamics – produced by and within the retail field – which have been shaping urban morphology and socio-economic functions in the last decade.

Article 57(1) of the Fiscal Criminal Code penalises a fiscal misdemeanour that consists in a taxpayer’s persistent failure to pay tax on time. The element of ‘persistence’ is subject to assessment, giving rise to many doubts and controversies. This chapter provides information on results of international achievement surveys and their use in monitoring educational outcomes in Finland. The educational monitoring system in Finland differs from that of many other countries. So far, little attention has been paid to its lack of standardised measurements and official control. Furthermore, Finnish education policies are strongly driven not by the aim to reach high rankings in international assessments but rather by the emphasis on quality and equity of education. Motorisen oppimisen vaikeudella, kuten kehityksellisellä koordinaatiohäiriöllä (DCD), tarkoitetaan huomattavaa vaikeutta oppia uusia motorisia taitoja ja soveltaa jo opittuja taitoja uusiin tilanteisiin. Tämän tutkimuksen tarkoituksena oli kehittää opettajien käyttöön havainnointityökalu, joka auttaa tunnistamaan motorisen oppimisen vaikeuden esi- ja alkuopetusikäisillä lapsilla. Lisäksi tutkimus selvitti, miten opettajat voivat kouluympäristössä tukea lapsia, joilla on haasteita motorisessa oppimisessa. Tutkimus muodostui neljästä osatutkimuksesta.
