Tutkielmassa selvitetään kannattavatko Suomen vuoden 2014 eurovaaliehdokkaat solidaarista Suomea ja/tai Eurooppaa ja mikä tähän vaikuttaa. Solidaarisuudesta keskustelu on lisääntynyt Euroopassa pakolaisuuden kasvun, ilmastonmuutoksen, taloudellisen epävarmuuden sekä finanssikriisin seurauksena. The early life environment can have profound, long‐lasting effects on an individual's fitness. For example, early life quality might (a) positively associate with fitness (a silver spoon effect), (b) stimulate a predictive adaptive response (by adjusting the phenotype to the quality of the environment to maximize fitness) or (c) be obscured by subsequent plasticity. Potentially, the effects of the early life environment can persist beyond one generation, though the intergenerational plasticity on fitness traits of a subsequent generation is unclear. Intergenerational fitness effects on offspring due to the early life of the parent are well studied from the standpoint of the maternal environment, but intergenerational effects owing to the paternal early life environment are often overlooked. Nonetheless, recent laboratory studies in mammals and ecologically relevant studies in invertebrates predict that paternal effects can have a major impact on the offspring's phenotype. Tutkimuksessa tarkastellaan Britannian parlamentin alahuoneessa käytyä keskustelua vapaudesta ja valtion tehtävistä Clement Attleen johtaman Labour-hallituksen noustua valtaan vuoden 1945 vaaleissa. Kyseinen hallitus toteutti runsaan määrän uudistuksia, joista merkittävimpänä sosiaaliturvan ja terveydenhuoltojärjestelmän uudistukset. Background: In 1994, the African National Congress identified early childhood development as a potential strategy to redress the inequalities of apartheid, however, two and a half decades later, poverty still persists, and South Africa is one of the most unequal countries in the world. In this article, I explore the power relations, knowledge hierarchies and discourses of childhood, family and society in National Curriculum Framework (NCF) as it relates to children’s everyday contexts. Positioning children with special educational needs in early childhood education and care documents

The article critically discusses the practice of describing children’s special educational needs (SEN) in early childhood education and care (ECEC) pedagogical documents. Documentation is understood as a form of governance. In current practice, documentation is extensively used in educational institutions. Even when the focus of documentation should be pedagogical, the descriptions of children’s SEN commonly describe a child’s individual deficits as a source of educational problems. In this study, we used discourse analysis to investigate how professionals position children and construct their SEN in pedagogical documents.
