El análisis de los informes emitidos por la Junta de Comercio de Valencia en la segunda mitad del siglo XVIII revela la influencia que tuvo la institución en la conformación de la política arrocera de la monarquía. Al igual que ésta, su posición evolucionó desde la hostilidad hacia el cultivo del arroz en la etapa inicial de su intervención hasta la defensa de sus ventajas en la década de 1790. Los argumentos esgrimidos en ambos sentidos permiten identificar los intereses económicos que condicionaron sus planteamientos. This paper proposes a study on the virtual reconstruction of temple B in Selinunte. It is the smallest of Selinunte’s temples yet, despite its size, it has been the subject of great interest and debate by scholars since its discovery in 1823. The studies carried out throughout the XIX century and the first half of the XX century provided different renderings, especially as to the organization of the elevation. This paper deals with the survey and communications of Cultural Heritage through the development of innovative methodologies. The case of study is the polychrome wooden ceiling in the “Magna” Hall of “Palazzo Steri”. The “Steri”, built in the XIVth century by the noble family Chiaromonte, is at the present the headquarter of the Rector’s Office of Palermo University. This is a study of the eminent domains foreseen in the Spanish administrative procedure concerning personnel. The main procedural issues raised by the proceedings such as its adequacy, quantification, jurisdiction and competence are analyzed, starting from an approximation to the concept of personnel matters and from the juridical nature of this proceeding as being common to eminent domains. Particularly, the procedural specialties are studied either being proceeding independently from the adequate procedural action or those foreseen for given assumptions.

New ways of looking into handwritten miscellanies of the seventeenth century: the case of “Spes Altera”

A large number of copies of Shakespeare’s Sonnet 2 circulated in handwritten miscellanies from the second quarter of the Seventeenth Century. Eleven of those copies have significant variant readings that have led critics to put forward different hypotheses regarding their nature and quality. Most critics, taking into account stylometric analyses, have regarded them as early drafts of Shakespeare’s printed version, and have agreed on their poor quality.By paying due attention to the text’s context of production and reception, we have reached a different conclusion regarding both the nature and quality of the handwritten versions of Sonnet 2. 3D survey and modelling of Cultural Heritage allow to store a great deal of 3D data that can be managed for different purposes. 3D models can be used for documentation, restoration and knowledge of historic architectures and monuments. In this work, a 3D survey of the main portico of the Cathedral of Monreale (Palermo, Italy) was carried out. The paper presents the data acquisition process and the 3D modelling phase. The work is aimed to reconstruct a 3D model that could be used also to set up an HBIM (Heritage or Historic Building Information Modelling) of the main portico.
