The sense of taste is a chemical sense and one of the most ancestral sensory modalities. It allows detectingand appreciating taste molecules present in our food. Beyond our vital needs, the pleasure elicited from whatwe eat can drive our feeding behaviors sometimes up to excess. Food intake involves several sensorysystems, mainly smell and taste. The underlying molecular mechanisms are relatively complex. This articlefocuses on the extent of the chemical space associated with the five primary tastes (sour, salty, sweet, bitterand umami), and details the fundamental role of gustatory receptors in the perception of taste as well aswithin interindividual variabilities.

Bērnības vardarbības pieredzes saistība ar seksuālo paškonceptu sievietēm

Bērnībā piedzīvota vardarbība ir riska faktors dažādām psiholoģiskām un fiziskām traumām. Bakalaura darba mērķis bija izpētīt saistības starp bērnības vardarbības pieredzi un seksuālo paškonceptu sievietēm. Pētījuma izlasi veido 77 sievietes no 18 līdz 56 gadiem. Pētījums ir korelatīvi aprakstošs. Pētījumā izmantotas Bērnības traumas aptauja (Childhood Trauma Questionnaire, Fink, Bernstein, Handelsman, Foote, & Lovejoy, 1995) un Multidimensionālā seksuālā paškoncepta aptauja (Multidimensional Sexual Self-Concept Questionnaire, Snell, 2001). Piesaiste kā iekšējais darbības modelis, seksuālais paškoncepts kā kognitīvo shēmu modelis un seksuālā sevis atklāšana kā komunikatīvs resurss tiek analizēti korelāciju modelī. Par pētījuma mērķi tika izvirzīts noteikt saistību starp seksuālo paškonceptu, piesaistes stilu, seksuālo sevis atklāšanu un apmierinātību ar seksuālo dzīvi sievietēm pieaugušo vecumā. Sievietes pieaugušā vecumā (N=70) sniedza atbildes uz aptaujas jautājumiem tiešsaistē.
