Sāpju intensitāte atkarībā no subjektīvā laika

Darba mērķis bija noskaidrot, vai maldinoša laika reprezentācija, ietekmē sāpju intensitātes uztveri. Darba hipotēze bija, vai manipulējot ar subjektīvā laika uztveri jeb rādot maldinošu laika reprezentāciju, samazināsies sāpju intensitāte. Pirmās eksperimentālās grupas rādītāji ir M = 5,15, SD = 1,24, šie rādītāji salīdzinājumā ar otro eksperimentālo grupu ir augstāki M = 4,18, SD = 1,19, darba hipotēze tika apstiprināta. Kopā pētījumā bija 58 dalībnieki, 35 vīrieši, vecums M = 22,40, SD = 2,49 un 23 sievietes, vecums M = 24,52, SD = 4,11. Substances use and perception among adolescents in Italy: Findings from an exploratory study

SUMMARY. Introduction: The present paper aims to examine the knowledge and the perception of some psychoactive substances (hashish, cocaine, ecstasy, etc.) of a group of Italian adolescents. Besides, the study investigates the way adolescents perceive drug effects, incidence among peers, and personal acknowledgement of the use of different substances. Methods: 650 adolescents, aged from 14 to 19, attending the first and the last two-year period of high school, filled out a questionnaire addressed to assess substances use and perception. In questo lavoro si discute di una particolare “collezione” di corpi di ecclesiastici, mummifcati ed esposti in un comune montano madonita della Sicilia, Gangi. I corpi, principalmente risalenti al XIX secolo, mummifcati per colatura come nella tradizione del tempo e vestiti degli abiti talari, sono esposti nel piano sottostante della Chiesa Madre, in quella che nella tradizione è detta la “fossa dei parrini” (fossa dei preti). Considering the limited attention paid to interpersonal aspects of emotions, this study explored coaches’ perceptions of athletes’ performance-related states and how they used this information for its regulation. Using a case study approach, three coach-athlete dyads from competitive tennis took part in one-on-one semi-structured interviews. Individualized profiling of psychobiosocial states was used to assess athletes’ states in most and least successful performances and as a way of data triangulation. Effects of hormonal contraceptives on physical performance and body composition

The purpose of the present study was to examine the effects of hormonal contraceptive use on neuromuscular, cardiorespiratory and body composition adaptations following combined strength and endurance training period. Methods. Nineteen recreationally active women; 11 who had at least one year of hormonal contraceptive use (age 294 yr; BMI 212 kg/m2; VO2max 444 ml/kg/min) and 8 who had never used hormonal contraceptives (age 315 yr; BMI 222 kg/m2; VO2max 414 ml/kg/min) participated in the present study of combined strength and endurance training for 10 weeks.
