Testing generalized CP symmetries with precision studies at DUNE

We examine the capabilities of the DUNE experiment in probing leptonic CP violation within the framework of theories with generalized CP symmetries characterized by the texture zeros of the corresponding CP transformation matrices. We investigate DUNE's potential to probe the two least known oscillation parameters, the atmospheric mixing angle $\theta_{23}$ and the Dirac CP-phase $\delta_{\rm CP}$. We fix theory-motivated benchmarks for ($ \sin^2\theta_{23}, \delta_{\rm CP} $) and take them as true values in our simulations. Measurement of the forward-backward asymmetries in the production ofΞandΩbaryons inpp¯collisions

We measure the forward-backward asymmetries $A_{\rm FB}$ of charged $\Xi$ and $\Omega$ baryons produced in $p \bar{p}$ collisions recorded by the D0 detector at the Fermilab Tevatron collider at $\sqrt{s} = 1.96$ TeV as a function of the baryon rapidity $y$. We find that the asymmetries $A_{\rm FB}$ for charged $\Xi$ and $\Omega$ baryons are consistent with zero within statistical uncertainties.

Constraints for nuclear PDFs from the LHCb D-meson data

We quantify the impact of LHCb D-meson measurements at $\sqrt{s}=5 \, {\rm TeV}$ on the EPPS16 and nCTEQ15 nuclear PDFs. In our study, the theoretical description of D-meson production is based on the recently developed SACOT-$m_{\rm T}$ variant of the general-mass variable-flavour-number formalism, and the impact on PDFs is estimated via reweighting methods. We pay special attention on the theoretical uncertainties known to us, and are led to exclude the $p_{\rm T}<3 \, {\rm GeV}$ region from our main analysis. The LHCb data can be accommodated well within EPPS16 and nCTEQ15, and the data provide stringent constraints on the gluons in the shadowing/antishadowing regions. No evidence of …

Study of High Momentumη′Production inB→η′Xs

We measure the branching fraction for the charmless semi-inclusive process B --> eta'Xs, where the eta' meson has a momentum in the range 2.0 to 2.7 GeV/c in the upsilon4S center-of-mass frame and Xs represents a system comprising a kaon and zero to four pions. We find B(B --> eta'Xs) = [3.9 +/- 0.8(stat) +/- 0.5(syst) +/- 0.8(model)] x 10(-4). We also obtain the Xs mass spectrum and find that it fits models predicting high masses.

Genuine and Matter-induced Components of the CPV Asymmetry for Neutrino Oscillations

These results represent the solution for the historical problem of the contamination by matter effects on the CPV Asymmetry for neutrino oscillations. Vacuum is CPT-symmetric and matter is T-symmetric, the goal is accomplished by using this guiding principle. Independent of the theoretical framework for the dynamics of the active neutrino flavors, we prove the Disentanglement Theorem A(CP)=A(CP, T)+A(CP, CPT) for the experimental CPV Asymmetry, with A(CP, T) genuine T-odd and A(CP, CPT) fake CPT-odd. Triangular flow of thermal photons from an event-by-event hydrodynamic model for2.76ATeV Pb + Pb collisions at the CERN Large Hadron Collider

We calculate the triangular flow parameter $v_3$ of thermal photons from an event-by-event ideal hydrodynamic model for $0--40\%$ central collisions of Pb nuclei at $\sqrt{s_{NN}}$=2.76 TeV at LHC. $v_3$ determined with respect to the participant plane (PP) is found to be non-zero, positive and its $p_T$ dependence is qualitatively similar to the elliptic flow parameter $v_2$(PP) of thermal photons in the range $1 \le p_T \le 6$ GeV/$c$. In the range $p_T \, \le $ 3 GeV/$c$, $v_3$(PP) is found to be about $50--75\%$ of $v_2$(PP) and for $p_T \, >$ 3 GeV/$c$ the two anisotropy parameters become comparable. The η transition form factor from space- and time-like experimental data

The $\eta$ transition form factor is analysed for the first time in both space- and time-like regions at low and intermediate energies in a model-independent approach through the use of rational approximants. The $\eta\rightarrow e^+e^-\gamma$ experimental data provided by the A2 Collaboration in the very low energy region of the dilelectron invariant mass distribution allows for the extraction of the most precise up-to-date slope and curvature parameters of the form factors as well as their values at zero and infinity. Comments on the dispersion relation method to vector–vector interaction

We study in detail the method proposed recently to study the vector-vector interaction using the $N/D$ method and dispersion relations, which concludes that, while for $J=0$, one finds bound states, in the case of $J=2$, where the interaction is also attractive and much stronger, no bound state is found. In that work, approximations are done for $N$ and $D$ and a subtracted dispersion relation for $D$ is used, with subtractions made up to a polynomial of second degree in $s-s_\mathrm{th}$, matching the expression to $1-VG$ at threshold. Multiparticle breathers for a chain with double-quadratic on-site potential

We investigate the existence and properties of multiparticle breathers for a one-dimensional model with harmonic nearest neighbor interactions where a group of r particles $(r=1,2,3,\dots{})$ perform interwell oscillations between both wells of a double-quadratic on-site potiential. We find two types of such breathers. For the first type the breather frequency $\ensuremath{\Omega}$ is within the single-particle oscillator spectrum, and the ``residence'' time of each breather particle in the left and right well is about the same.
