Multimodale Analyse von Interaktion im fremdsprachlichen Klassenzimmer. Multimodal analysis of interaction in a foreign language class.

The article offers a contribution to the interaction research in the foreign language teaching and learning. It starts with an overview of various research approaches to the foreign language teaching and learning, from the 60s to the present days. A multimodal analysis of an excerpt of videorecorded classroom interaction is then provided. The analysis is focused on several aspects of classroom participation and teaching sequences. Some implications of the present research for teachers' training are finally provided.

La evangelización de los moriscos valencianos resultó prácticamente imposible por su propia resistencia cultural y por la falta de dedicación de los curas encargados de ella. Sin embargo, a principios del reinado de Felipe II se pensó que la empresa era viable. El Dr. Frago, responsable de una parroquia de moriscos, fue -a principio de los años 60- un importante activista en favor del esfuerzo evangelizador. Amenazo con graves males a Felipe II si no tomaba medidas contra los señores que explotaban a los moriscos y que encubrían su islamismo, creyendo que, eliminado este obstáculo, la evangelización progresaría.

However, fairly little attention has been devoted to the design of ubiquitous computing approaches for spontaneous exploration of large information spaces enabling co-located collaboration. We investigate whether an entity-based user interface provides a solution to support co-located search on heterogeneous devices. Drawing on conversation analysis and authentic data from a video-mediated multiparty meeting, this study investigates the sequential and temporal organisation of recoveries of the interactional space. It focuses on moments in which either an auditory or a visual barrier emerges, and the participants orient to these troubles through intensified bodily-visual displays: embodied noticings.
