Tutkielmassani käsittelen aktivoitumista voimaantumisprosessin osana, johon henkilö kiinnittyy henkilökohtaisen päätöksentekoprosessin myötä. Päätöksentekoprosessin viitekehyksenä tarkastelen suomalaista aktiivista sosiaalipolitiikkaa 1990-luvun alusta lähtien. Tutkimukseni tarkoituksena on selvittää kuntouttavan työtoiminnan vaikutuksia nuoren elämässä nuoren oman henkilökohtaisen kokemuksen ja kuntouttavan työtoiminnan ohjaajien näkökulmasta Kainuun alueella. Lisäksi tutkimuksessa kartoitetaan lähtötilannetta, josta nuori ohjautuu kuntouttavaan työtoimintaan sekä selvitetään, mikä merkitys ohjauksella on kuntouttavan työtoiminnan kokonaisuudessa. Ihmisen ja luonnon hyvinvoinnin kannalta on tärkeää, että ihmiset oppivat elämään kestävän kehityksen periaatteiden mukaisesti. Nuorten asenteet ympäristöä kohtaan ovat myönteisiä, mutta asenteet eivät heijastu suoraan käyttäytymiseen. This chapter analyses the similarities and differences between the GCC and Singapore with regard to economic diversification strategies. The key for a successful and, thus, sustainable diversification process for the GCC is to reduce the high dependence of the economic revenues away from the hydrocarbon sector. However, an ongoing concern is the continuing need of high foreign workforce that collides with the demands for greater employment opportunities for national citizens. The challenges of those nationalisation strategies will be examined at the example of the Sultanate of Oman.
Patient participation in the medical decision-making process in haemato-oncology - a qualitative study

Cancer patients are showing increased interest in shared decision-making. Patients with haematological illnesses, however, express considerably less desire for shared decision-making as compared with other oncological patient groups. The goal of the current project was to identify the reasons for the lower desire for shared decision-making among patients with haematological illness. We conducted qualitative, semi-structured interviews with 11 haematological patients (39-70 years old) after the beginning of therapy concerning the course and evaluation of medical shared decision-making.
