Current and Voltage Behaviour During a Fault in a HV/MV System: Methods and Measurements

When a single line to ground fault happens on the MV side of a HV/MV system, only a small portion of the fault current is injected into the ground by the ground-grid of the faulty substation. In fact the fault current is distributed between grounding electrodes and MV cables sheaths. In systems with isolated neutral or with resonant earthing this may be sufficient to provide safety from electric shock. A correct food tray sealing is required to preserve food properties and safety for consumers. Traditional food packaging inspections are made by human operators to detect seal defects. Nature and origin of fault-controlled fluid seepage across the Maltese Islands

The Maltese Islands are intersected by two major fault systems associated with two diverse rifting episodes affect the islands. The first and most widespread system is Early Miocene to mid-Pliocene in age, and consists of faults that are orientated ENE-WSW. The most distinct of these faults is the Great Fault (known also as the Victoria Lines Fault). The younger system of faults (Late Miocene-Early Pliocene) is still active and consists of faults striking NW to SE that often cross-cut the first generation of faults. The most extensive of these faults is the Maghlaq Fault, located along the southern coastline of the Maltese Islands.

FUZZY RISK ANALYSIS OF A MODERN γ-RAY INDUSTRIAL IRRADIATOR

Fuzzy fault tree analyses were used to investigate accident scenarios that involve radiological exposure to operators working in industrial γ-ray irradiation facilities. The HEART method, a first generation human reliability analysis method, was used to evaluate the probability of adverse human error in these analyses. This technique was modified on the basis of fuzzy set theory to more directly take into account the uncertainties in the error-promoting factors on which the methodology is based. This study examines the use of analytic techniques to develop a model that predicts the potential default of Small Business Administration (SBA) backed loans issued to American franchisees. Data deduplication is an important component of enterprise storage environments. The throughput and capacity limitations of single node solutions have led to the development of clustered deduplication systems. Most implemented clustered inline solutions are trading deduplication ratio versus performance and are willing to miss opportunities to detect redundant data, which a single node system would detect. We present an inline deduplication cluster with a joint distributed chunk index, which is able to detect as much redundancy as a single node solution.
