Uusien alatyyppivalikoivien monoamiinioksidaasi B -inhibiittoreiden suunnittelu

2015

MAO-B (MAO-B) on yksi amiinien hapetuksesta vastaavista entsyymeistä.

2014

Viitamaa Kirsi (2014). Pihatrampoliini lasten motoristen perustaitojen kehittäjänä. Liikuntakasvatuksen laitos, Jyväskylän yliopisto, liikuntapedagogiikan pro gradu -tutkielma, 65 s., 2 liitettä. Varhaislapsuus on ihmisen kehityksen kulta-aikaa, jolloin motoriset perustaidot tulisi oppia mahdollisimman hyvin. Viime vuosina pihatrampoliinien suosio on lisääntynyt lasten ja nuorten keskuudessa. Yhä useamman suomalaisen kodin pihalta löytyy pihatrampoliini. Tämän tutkielman tarkoituksena oli selvittää pihatrampoliinin käytön tarjoamia mahdollisuuksia lasten motoristen perustaitojen harjaannuttamiseen. Tutkimuksessa tarkasteltiin vanhempien ja lasten kokemuksia pihatrampoliinin käytöstä. Tämä t…

Ecclesial Goals of the ”First Oration of Peace” by Gregory of Nazianzus

2020

Dla mówcy podłożem do przywrócenia pokoju były wspólne idee łączące zwaśnione strony, czyli wiara w jednego Boga, zgodne interpretacje zagadnień trynitarnych i pragnienie jedności. Pokój, o który zabiegał Grzegorz, okazał się wartością jednoczącą wszystkich tworzących społeczność kościelną w Naz…

On time-harmonic Maxwell equations with nonhomogeneous conductivities : Solvability and FE-approximation

1989

The solvability of time-harmonic Maxwell equations in the 3D-case with nonhomogeneous conductivities is considered by adapting Sobolev space technique and variational formulation of the probJem in question. Moreover, a finite element approximation is presented in the 3D·case together with an error estimate in the energy norm. Some remarks are given to the 2D-problem arising from geophysics. peerReviewed

Durability of a 3D woven composite assisted by finite element multi-scale modelling

2012

International audience; The textile composite studied is a 3D woven composite. A unit cell is defined by using microscopic examinations of the microstructure. A multiscale approach assisted by the finite element method is performed in order to estimate the effective properties of the composite and then to access to local stress field. This approach allows the determination of the kind of load to which warp yarns are subjected. Moreover, detailed analysis of damaged model using different configurations of broken yarns are treated. The evolution of the stress concentration coefficient highlight the load transfers due to consecutive yarn breaks.

Paving the way of systems biology and precision medicine in allergic diseases: The MeDALL success story

2016

MeDALL Mechanisms of the Development of ALLergy; EU FP7-CP-IP; Project No: 261357; 20 (10) -2015 proposed an innovative approach to develop early indicators for the prediction, diagnosis, prevention and targets for therapy(.) MeDALL linked epidemiological, clinical and basic research using a stepwise, large-scale and integrative approach: precisely phenotyped children followed in 14 birth cohorts spread across Europe were combined with systems biology omics, IgE measurement using micro-arrays and environmental data(.) Multimorbidity in the same child is more common than expected by chance alone, suggesting that these diseases share causal mechanisms irrespective of IgE sensitisation(.) IgE …

Beneficial effects of running and milk protein supplements on Sirtuins and risk factors of metabolic disorders in rats with low aerobic capacity

2019

Background. Physical activity and dietary intake of dairy products are associated with improved metabolic health. Dairy products are rich with branched chain amino acids that are essential for energy production. To gain insight into the mechanisms underlying the benefit of the sub-chronic effects of running and intake of milk protein supplements, we studied Low Capacity Runner rats (LCR), a rodent exercise model with risk for metabolic disorders. We especially focused on the role of Sirtuins, energy level dependent proteins that affect many cellular metabolic processes. Methods. Forty-seven adult LCR female rats sedentary or running voluntarily in wheels were fed normal chow and given suppl…

Posttraumatic Propofol Neurotoxicity Is Mediated via the Pro–Brain-Derived Neurotrophic Factor-p75 Neurotrophin Receptor Pathway in Adult Mice*

2016

Objectives:The gamma-aminobutyric acid modulator propofol induces neuronal cell death in healthy immature brains by unbalancing neurotrophin homeostasis via p75 neurotrophin receptor signaling. In adulthood, p75 neurotrophin receptor becomes down-regulated and propofol loses its neurotoxic effect. H

Does δ-sarcoglycan-associated autosomal-dominant cardiomyopathy exist?

2009

In this study we clinically and genetically characterize a consanguineous family with a homozygous novel missense mutation in the delta-sarcoglycan gene and a second delta-sarcoglycan mutation that has previously been reported to cause severe autosomal-dominant dilated cardiomyopathy. We identified a novel missense mutation in exon 6 (p.A131P) of the delta-sarcoglycan gene, which in a homozygous state leads to the clinical picture of a limb girdle muscular dystrophy. In four heterozygous carriers for the mutation, aged 3-64 years, a second sequence variant in exon 6 (p.S151A) of the delta-sarcoglycan gene was detected on the other allele. This second missense change had previously been repo…
