Crohn’s Disease (CD) is considered a result of multifactorial interplay between genetic, immune-related, environmental, and infectious triggers all contributing into evolution of clinical disease. The age of onset of Crohn’s disease has a bimodal distribution. The first peak occurs between the ages of 15 and 30 years (late adolescence and early adulthood), and the second occurs mainly in women between the ages of 60 and 70 years. A liquid alkoxide precursor for the atomic layer deposition of aluminum oxide films

For large-scale atomic layer deposition (ALD) of alumina, the most commonly used alkyl precursor trimethylaluminum poses safety issues due to its pyrophoric nature. In this work, the authors have investigated a liquid alkoxide, aluminum tri-sec-butoxide (ATSB), as a precursor for ALD deposition of alumina. ATSB is thermally stable and the liquid nature facilitates handling in a bubbler and potentially enables liquid injection toward upscaling. Both thermal and plasma enhanced ALD processes are investigated in a vacuum type reactor by using water, oxygen plasma, and water plasma as coreactants. Epidermal Langerhans cells represent an immature population of dendritic cells, not yet able to prime naive T cells. Following in vitro culture Langerhans cells mature into potent immunostimulatory cells. We constructed a representative cDNA library of in vitro matured murine Langerhans cells. Applying a differential screening procedure 112 differentially expressed cDNA clones were isolated.
