Absolute of Relative? A New Approach to Building Feature Vectors For Emotion Tracking In Music

It is believed that violation of or conformity to expectancy when listening to music is one of the main sources of musical emotion. To address this, we test a new way of building feature vectors and representing features within the vector for the machine learning approach to continuous emotion tracking systems. Instead of looking at the absolute values for specific features, we concentrate on the average value of that feature across the whole song and the difference between that and the absolute value for a particular sample. Personality and emotional factors may be contributing to the emergence of somatic complaints. The purpose of this study was to analyse the combined contribution of emotional awareness, moods and personality to somatic complaints in children and adults. Method: Participants were 1,476 children (M= 9.90 years, SD= 1.27, 52.10% girls) and 940 adults (M= 32.30 years, SD= 11.62, 64% women) who were administered self-reports. It investigates what impact the choices can have on the general well-being of the family, regarding both the intergenerational relationship and the community context. The research suggests that the linguistic attitudes of migrant families can stimulate and implement potential well-being.
