N-Methyl-N-(2-nitrophenyl)nitramine andN-methyl-N-(3-nitrophenyl)nitramine

The structures of the two title isomeric compounds (systematic names: N-meth­yl-N,2-dinitro­aniline and N-meth­yl-N,3-di­nitro­aniline, both C7H7N3O4) are slightly different because they exhibit different steric hindrances and hydrogen-bonding environments. The aromatic rings are planar. The –N(Me)NO2 and –NO2 groups are not coplanar with the rings. Comparison of the geometric parameters of the ortho, meta and para isomers together with those of N-meth­yl-N-phenyl­nitramine suggests that the position of the nitro group has a strong influence on the aromatic ring distortion. The crystal packing is stabilized by weak C—H⋯O hydrogen bonds to the nitramine group.

Adaptive sparse representation of continuous input for tsetlin machines based on stochastic searching on the line

This paper introduces a novel approach to representing continuous inputs in Tsetlin Machines (TMs). Instead of using one Tsetlin Automaton (TA) for every unique threshold found when Booleanizing continuous input, we employ two Stochastic Searching on the Line (SSL) automata to learn discriminative lower and upper bounds. The two resulting Boolean features are adapted to the rest of the clause by equipping each clause with its own team of SSLs, which update the bounds during the learning process. Einstein-Smoluchowsky equation handled by complex fractional moments

In this paper the response of a non linear half oscillator driven by α-stable white noise in terms of probability density function (PDF) is investigated. The evolution of the PDF of such a system is ruled by the so called Einstein-Smoluchowsky equation involving, in the diffusive term, the Riesz fractional derivative. The solution is obtained by the use of complex fractional moments of the PDF, calculated with the aid of Mellin transform operator. It is shown that solution can be found for various values of stability index α and for any nonlinear function of the drift term in the stochastic differential equation.

On the improvement of monumental structure safety: a case study

The present paper deals with the problem of the preservation of the monumental patrimony and discusses a practical application. The analysis methodology based on modern dynamic identification techniques was used for a monumental church in the historic area of Catania (Italy). Combined shell growth pattern and oxygen isotope analysis has become a powerful approach in palaeoclimate and archaeological studies for reconstructing palaeoclimate conditions and littoral exploitation patterns, respectively.
