Abstract Soil Moisture Active Passive (SMAP) mission of NASA was launched in January 2015. Currently, SMAP has an L-band radiometer and a defunct L-band radar with a rotating 6-m mesh reflector antenna. On July 7th, 2015, the SMAP radar malfunctioned and became inoperable. Consequently, the production of high-resolution active-passive soil moisture product got hampered, and only ~2.5 months (April 15th, 2015 to July 7th, 2015) of data remain available. The moderating role of personality in the relationship between temporal perspectives and facebook addiction

In the present paper, we tested the hypothesis that neuroticism moderates the relationship between past-negative or present-fatalistic temporal perspectives and Facebook addiction. A sample of 233 Facebook users (Female: 66%, mean age: 21.4 years) filled self-reports measures of temporal perspective, personality traits, and Facebook Addiction. Results at two moderation models showed that only past-negative significantly predicts Facebook addiction through neuroticism's moderation effect. High-quality discretizations for microwave simulations

We apply high-quality discretizations to simulate electromagnetic microwaves. Instead of the vector field presentations, we focus on differential forms and discretize the model in the spatial domain using the discrete exterior calculus. At the discrete level, both the Hodge operators and the time discretization are optimized for time-harmonic simulations. Non-uniform spatial and temporal discretization are applied in problems in which the wavelength is highly-variable and geometry contains sub-wavelength structures. peerReviewed
Intertemporal substitution and the liquidity effect in a sticky price model

Abstract The liquidity effect, defined as a decrease in nominal interest rates in response to a monetary expansion, is a major stylized fact of the business cycle. This paper first confirms that, with separable preferences, a low degree of intertemporal substitution in consumption is a necessary condition for the existence of the liquidity effect. In contrast to this result, in a model with non-separable preferences and capital accumulation it takes an implausibly high elasticity of intertemporal substitution to produce a liquidity effect.
