Efficient and accurate methodology for solving multiserver retrial systems

Proposed is a novel methodology for solving retrial systems which is based on the aggregation of levels of the Markov model beyond a given one. Its evaluation concludes that it is more accurate than previous approximations while requiring a low computational cost.

Most countries have active road safety policies that seek the objective of reducing deaths in traffic accidents. One of the main factors in this regard is the awareness of the safety measures, one of the most important being the correct usage of the seat belt, a device that is known to save thousands of lives every year. The presented work shows a VR-enhanced edutainment application designed to increase awareness on the use of seat belts. Existing studies are often carried out on a per-flow basis, focusing on the properties of individual flows. This paper is concerned with the Bayesian analysis of general queues with Poisson input and exponential service times. Joint posterior distribution of the arrival rate and the individual service rate is obtained from a sample consisting inn observations of the interarrival process andm complete service times. Posterior distribution of traffic intensity inM/M/c is also obtained and the statistical analysis of the ergodic condition from a decision point of view is discussed.
