Memory‐type control charts for censored reliability data

Control charts are commonly used to monitor a process to detect undesirable changes. The main goal of this work is to propose exponentially weighted moving average (EWMA) and cumulative sum (CUSUM) control charts to track a process by utilizing type-I censored generalized exponential (GE) distributed data. In particular, the censored data are replaced with the conditional expected value (CEV). A comparison between CUSUM and CUSUM ignoring unobserved covariates (CUSUM-IUC) charts is also a part of this study. The GE distribution is considered due to its application in reliability analysis. Family history of type 2 diabetes and altered maximal aerobic capacity in elite young athletes: a cross-sectional study.

Aim. Family history of type 2 diabetes is a predictive risk factor of illness in sedentary subjects and induces early phenotypic and metabolic alterations. The aim of this study was to determine whether a family history of diabetes in young male athletes had an effect on metabolic functional parameters. Methods. The study population was 42 young male athletes with or without a family history of type 2 diabetes. Anthropometric parameters, body composition, and maximal aerobic capacity (V̇O2max) were assessed. The compositon of olive oil results from a multivariate interaction in which genotype, environment, and agronomic-dependent factors are involved. The genotype controls genetic traits accounting for the rate pattern of fruit growth, oil accumulation in mesocarp cells and fruit ripening, while the genotype x environment interaction changes the rate of fruit growth, oil accumulation and fruit ripening pattern. The latter accounts for large changes in oil composition and sensorial features. International audience; The current requirements for composite cylinders are still based on an arbitrary approach derived from the behaviour of metal structures, that the designed burst pressure should be at least 2.5 times the maximum in-service pressure [1]. This could lead to an over-designed composite cylinder for which the weight saving would be less than optimum. Moreover, predicting the lifetime of composite cylinders is a challenging task due to their anisotropic characteristics. Integrin-mediated Cell Adhesion to Type I Collagen Fibrils

In the integrin family, the collagen receptors form a structurally and functionally distinct subgroup. Two members of this subgroup, α1β1 and α2β1 integrins, are known to bind to monomeric form of type I collagen. However, in tissues type I collagen monomers are organized into large fibrils immediately after they are released from cells. Here, we studied collagen fibril recognition by integrins. By an immunoelectron microscopy method we showed that integrin α2I domain is able to bind to classical D-banded type I collagen fibrils.
