The Western Space Policies under the Influence of International Factors: Mutuality of Russia’s Case

The research is dedicated to the problem of mutual dependence in space policies between the West, represented by great spacefaring actors the US and the EU, and Russia. In the study the correlation analysis, content analysis, and scenario-building methods were used. The conclusion of the analysis comprises consideration on the need to invest in their independence by Western countries in order to avoid unnecessary extra dependence on uncertain and unreliable regimes that supply substantial components for their space technology.
Latvijas un Eiropas kosmosa sadarbības attīstības prognoze

Pētījumā prognozēta optimāla iespējamā Latvijas rīcība Eiropas kosmosa izpētes programmu un politikas sadarbību jomā, laika periodā pēc Sadarbības līguma parakstīšanas ar Eiropas Kosmosa aģentūru (EKA, 2013.gada marts). Apskatītas iespējamās trīs rīcībpolitikas alternatīvas. Nulles scenārijs, kad Latvijas valdība ieņem pasīva vērotāja lomu, ļaujot sadarbībai attīstīties ieinteresēto aktoru izrādītās iniciatīvas virzienā un apjomā. Otrā scenārijā apskatīta izvēle ieviest limitētu sadarbību ar EKA, saglabājot Sadarbības valsts statusu uz 10 gadiem. Trešajā scenārijā analizēta iespējami pilna sadarbība ar EKA, kļūstot par dalībvalsti pēc procedurāla 5 gadu sadarbības valsts termiņa. Pētījumā i…
