Then it gives an overview on the common set of mesures used to improve gouvernance structures. Concluding, advantages and problems of these mesures are discussed and a perspective is given on the Good Governance debate.

This is the final report of a study conducted with participative methods in Guinea, West Africa. The study analyses the functionality of small farmer organisations and the role they play in agricultural land issues. After a short introduction in chapter 1, we identify the macro-sociological context of the study as well as its importance for the country's development in chapter 2. The following chapter 3 treats the context of land use and land rights in the Fouta Djallon region as well as more specifically in our intervention zone.
