Regarding Quality Management System in Aerospace Industry Organizations

2019

This paper illustrate the quality management system in an organization with field of activities in manufacturing of aerospace components. The aerospace standard of quality management system is EN AS 9100, based on ISO 9001. Additional to the EN AS 9100 quality management system standard requirements, the organizations in aerospace field, need to integrate in their quality system a lot of additional process and regulations specific in aerospace industry. The big aircraft producers have designed their requirements in such a way that all approved suppliers, which are respecting these requirements, can manufacture high quality products. These requirements are manufacturing process specification…

Modeling the machined surface quality of an aluminum alloy using the active experiment type

2019

Abstract The surface roughness obtained by the cutting processes has always been a subject of great interest when it is intended to improve the quality of the final product requested by the customer. The objective of this scientific paper involves a comparative study on the tracking of the surface roughness measured both longitudinally and transversely in the direction of the cutting feed movement, following the end-milling process of an aluminum alloy used in the aerospace industry worldwide. Practical experiments have conducted in a prestigious company in the aerospace industry of Romania. Regarding the cutting regime, in terms of milling, a cutting speed was adopted to maintain its const…

The Design and the Process Technology of a Rotational Mold

2019

The present paper highlights a series of introduction aspects of the rotational system for slush plastic casting, which are the characteristic elements of this fabrication technology and which consistsof the rotational molding. Also, the structure of a rotational mold and the methods used to obtain themold, are presented. The purpose of this research is to describe the parametric design of a rotationalmold and its fabrication process. The research method used to accomplish this purpose consist of the CAD – Modelling specific software utilized to carry out the parametric design of the rotational mold. After the parametric design it was adopted the manufacturing technology of the mold, using …

Optimization of the objective function –surface quality by end-milling dimensional machining of some aluminum alloys

2019

Abstract In the aerospace industry, the milling of aluminum alloy parts is a machining process with the primary purpose of removing high volumes of material. Aluminum alloys are materials that have relatively good machinability, which helps the process because many of the components of the aircraft are of high dimensions. These parts have many pockets more or less deep, and the removal by cutting off about 90% of the initial volume of the workpiece is a matter of consideration. The manufacturing process is protracted and involves long semi-finishing and finishing operations, so it is recommended that any researcher who begins and finishes an experimental study should do it base on a specifi…

Approach to Product Quality Requirements in the Context of Aeronautical Domain Process Modeling

2021

Structural components account for a significant proportion of the number of components in an aircraft. The manufacturing methods and techniques by which these products are made, are considered critically, due to the importance of components. The volume and complexity of the requirements of each product are quite high. The intend of this research is to address the interaction of the product requirements in the manufacturing phase, when the value of the product increases the most, reason why the interest is highest. The requirements regarding the realization of the manufacturing processes, specific to the aerospace field, aim at the technological process parameters and are requirements genera…
