Receptive-productive skills in the teaching of listening skillsThe aim of the article is to present selected receptive-productive skills making up auditory perception. The author focuses on an analysis of two skills, i.e. searching for and using information, and responding to messages. She defines the objectives of the teaching of these skills and presents possible methods to be used in the teaching of Polish. According to the author, the skills should be honed during mother tongue classes, because their mastery prepares pupils for effective listening in various situations outside school.

The aim of this article is to verify the way in which authors of school textbooks propose develop listening comprehension in Polish language lessons. The author, after discussing the specifics of listening within an interpersonal communication and detailed perceptual skills, sets objectives of improving the auditory reception in Polish language education. Subsequently, she presents an analysis of didactic tasks that are classified according to a perceptual skill which are being developed. The article finishes with the presentation of a model of developing listening comprehension that emerges from selected school textbooks.

Aktywizowanie rozwoju sprawności słuchania w języku polskim jako ojczystym

The aim of the present article is to present the typology of listening comprehension skills activated during Polish language lessons. What the author claims is that in Polish school two types of listening co-exist, namely: natural and activated. The former resembles conditions of natural communication, since a student assumes the role of text recipient, whereas the latter is a process of teaching the skills of listening comprehension. Based on questions and instructions elicited from selected school handbooks shows in what way the activated type of listening comprehension is taught as a part of Polish as a mother tongue lessons.
