The Francoist Regime, in order to legitimize and maintain power until the death of its dictator, aimed to impose a system of values and norms by carrying out activities of control and self-control. With this objective, it intended to modify the mental schemas and the dynamic components of individual identity. In this project, the press played a fundamental role, given its capacity to influence the beliefs and actions of all social agents.
