The article deals with the issue of historical research on social activities. This research is a part of the field of scientific activity of Polish social pedagogy, whose creator was Helena Radlińska. This researcher has developed a method of historical research for social pedagogues. It is worthwhile to use this methodological approach in modern scientific research from social pedagogy. UNIVERSUM OF THE COLLEGE VERSUS LABOUR MARKET
Dyskurs akademicki dotyczący spraw lączenia odmiennych rol uniwersytetow prowadzi do dialogu, w ktorym akcentowane są roznorodne poglądy. Przyklad universum uczelni wyzszej w zestawieniu z po- trzebami rynku pracy to jeden z licznych obszarow dialogu. W artykule zastosowano narzedzie analizy czynnikowej, ktore moze byc pomocne w dociekaniu akademickim. Z jego pomocą mozna dokonywac ze- stawien odpowiednich funkcji, wykazując ich zbiezności w odniesieniu do konkretnych czynnikow okre- ślających specy ke uniwersytetu jako typu uczelni wyzszej. Rozwazania są prowadzone z perspektywy pedagogiki spolecznej, ktora jest nauką lączącą teorie z praktyką.
Social Pedagogy as an offer of master’s studies in Poland after the Second World War (1945-1950)
The article presents graduate programs (Masters level) in the field of social pedagogy offered by Helena Radlińska and her colleagues at the University of Łódz after WWII. Socio-Pedagogical studies established at the Department of Social Pedagogy at the University of Łódz were supposed to prepare educational, social, and cultural workers in time of revival of Poland after 1945. The example of the educational model created at that time can serve as an inspiration in the development of contemporary programs of education rooted in the Polish socio-pedagogical tradition.
Seniors in the 21st century: social, medical and psychological support
The subject of the analysis addresses seniors. Social, medical and psychological support can be classified as particularly important considering problems seniors face in their everyday life. This implies the need to narrow down the field of analysis to those aspects that the authors are able to responsibly undertake based on their professional experiences and education. Hence, the idea of this article is to explain and justify the need to develop tridisciplinary cooperation: sociology, medicine and psychology. The analysis of issues related to supporting seniors shows also the need to stimulate the processes of the seniors activation and counteracting social marginalization.
The psychological, psychotherapeutic and medical dimensions of the activities of social services in Poland
Abstract The article is an attempt to look at the issue of functioning of social services in Poland from an interdisciplinary perspective, presenting common areas of activity of professionals with socio-pedagogical affiliation with representatives of psychological, psychotherapeutic and medical environments. The considerations relate not only to the literature of the subject, but also to the research of the authors in this regard. The purpose of the presented reflection is also to indicate the areas of interdisciplinary scientific cooperation, including research. Its effect could be generating new research problems and solving them in the course of the work of interdisciplinary teams.
