En formation infirmiere, l’analyse de la pratique accompagne le processus de professionnalisation de l’etudiant. En dessinant les contours d’un concept multifocal, cet article interroge la place de la pratique reflexive dans la construction du sens de l’activite et en particulier la maniere dont l’analyse de la pratique peut se penser comme une mediation du sens. Cette demarche questionne les espaces communicationnels qu’elle investit et la posture de l’acteur face aux situations complexes qu’il rencontre.

What if the act of bathing patients was more important than a simple act of basic care? Information and communication sciences enable an analysis rich in signifi cations to be carried out, while unveiling new dimensions of understanding. Those of sensation, sensitivity and the symbolic dimension give back to this act of nursing care a real importance in the fi eld of the relationship. Giving meaning to practices means revealing new inter-relational areas to the benefi t of the patient.
