Galectin-3 (Gal-3) and carbohydrate antigen 125 (CA125) have been associated with adverse outcomes after transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI). Experimental data have suggested a potential molecular interaction. Therefore, we assessed the association of Gal-3 and CA125 with prognosis after TAVI.A total of 439 patients were enrolled. Elevated carbohydrate antigen 125 (CA125) and N-terminal pro-brain natriuretic peptide (NTproBNP) have been associated with adverse outcome after transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI). This study performs a comparison of both biomarkers for prognosis after TAVI. The study includes 363 patients.
