In the paper I will analyze the renewal of the constitution in the Baltic States and Georgia after the collapse of the socialist system. The renewal of the old constitutions are infrequent events in the world. In the Baltic States and Georgia, the restoration of the old constitutions had symbolic and political importance, reinforcing the doctrine of state continuity and legitimizing the new constitutional order after the transformation. Latvijas konstitucionālo normu hierarhija

Maģistra darbā aplūkota Latvijas konstitucionālo normu hierarhija. Formālās konstitūcijas normas ar augstāko juridisko spēku ir vispārējie tiesību principi. Nākamo hierarhijas līmeni veido Satversmes 1., 2., 3., 4., 6. un 77. pants un Deklarācija par Latvijas valsti. Savukārt zemākajā konstitucionālo normu hierarhija līmenī ir izvietojamas pārējās konstitucionālās normas (pārējās Satversmes normas, Deklarācijas „Par Latvijas Republikas neatkarības atjaunošanu” normas, konstitucionālais likums „Par Latvijas Republikas valstisko statusu”, kā arī Satversmes 68. panta otrās daļas procedūrā pieņemtie likumi).
