The article underlines how techniques on the nano-metric scale have transformed and improved the scope of lighting products, improving their performance in terms of energy-consumption, luminosity produced, over-heating, longer life, etc. Consequrntly, Led, Oled, and Woled are all mentioned: acronyms that indicate lighting systems of indubitable quality, but still possessing undeniable limitations, especially in terms of cost, due to the high financial outlay demanded by the production process.
